♥What does the word creative mean? Creative means original and expressive.
♥Using a reliable dictionary, look up the definition of creative. The dictionary definition of the word is "resulting from originality of thought, expression, etc. ;imaginative
♥How many definitions are there? There are four definitions.
♥Do the definitions match what you believe in? Kind of because I said being creative was being original, but it's not exactly what I thought of because I didn't think being expressing is a term of creative.
♥In your own words, write a definition for the word creative. I think creative means thinking of ideas that are not used frequently and thinking of ideas that are different from others, and thinking of original ideas.

Journal Entry #1
Everyone has experienced this in their childhood or current life. The guy who takes Physical Education too seriously. I mean, I understand that PE is an important subject in school, but do they really have to take it so far that it hurts people's feeling when those guys criticize them just for a mistake? Everyone makes mistakes, even those guys. They treat people that aren't as good as them as complete idiots. So what if you're not the best in sports? You must have some OTHER talent that you are better at then them, and how would they feel like if we criticized them for an English mistake, or a mathematical mistake, or whatever?
So please, try to take down a notch if you're one of those people, because it's many people's pet peeves.

journal entry 2 :)
writ a paragraph about a girl named Dot, but use no letters with i or j

Dot was an average youngster who had a home and a dog named Coco.
She went to a school called Korean Elementary School (?). Her hobby was to draw and play basketball and drawing. One sunny day, she went to the garden to plant her flowers when suddenly she saw a bee buzzing through her rose bush. She kept on crying because she was so scared of bees, but the, her dad came home and got the bee. She was very happy, and she stayed that way happily ever after.

world is big but we're small 0___0

Poem.
Weak, struggle for survival, and easily confused
Mankind are like a dewdrop on a leaf
Delicate, and easily eliminated

We get stepped on, and no one cares for us,
because we are so little in this world.
What good is it if you are famous?
You are just a dewdrop in a million.

We are only born when the cloud drops us in.
Even though we think we are the greatest,
mankind is just tiny dewdrops one of many thousands of leaves.

Compare and Contrast
Leaf and River
Comparisons: both nature, they are both very fresh, they both have something of water in the picture
Contrasts: Leaf is small but the river is majestic, river is water based whereas leaf is plant based :D

Description: Rain
Smell- very fresh, wet, nature-y and damp
Taste- watery and cold
Sound- the drip drop of the rain is very dynamic and soothing
Look- little drops of water
Touch- wet and damp
I think socrates mean that a man's life is like a drop of dew, because there are so many of the dew drops that are there.
And a dew's life is very short so you should cherish your life.

FREE WRITE- People thinking before they act. Journal Entry #3

Everyone makes mistakes, and I don't believe that there's not a single person on this planet who hasn't made any mistakes.
The main reason, and I'm sure there are plenty more, is that people don't think ahead of time before they act.
Not thinking before acting can sometimes pass by, but most of the time it creates a serious crisis. I don't think before I act,
and that's why I get myself into trouble. If everyone thought, "What would happen in the future if I did this?" or "Would this decision affect me or the people around me?" then the world would be a much better place.
People only think of the present and how it is beneficial for them right now, but what about tomorrow? Would you regret it? Would it affect
your friends? Your family?. And that is usually why people make mistakes. It's not because they're stupid or dumb, it's just a matter whether you think ahead. That is sometimes the reason WHY I get into trouble, because my mom always tell me why don't you think ahead of time, and now I understand her argument.
Sometimes your mistakes can be very hard to take back, or sometimes even impossible. There is a saying, You can't cry over spilled milk, and the reason that person is crying over spilled milk is that she/he didn't think ahead of time of if they do this, you will spill your milk, and after you didn't think and spilled the milk, you cannot take it back.
So that's my little logic and thought for the day, and I hope I can learn the ability to think before I act. :)

Ideas for Writing
-Imagine that you are an onion that's about to be sliced onto the hamburger.

"No!", I thought, "I can't die this early! Nooooooo!" Then I had a flashback of my old life .
I was born in America in Sarah's Onion Farm. I was one of the healthiest and one of the most handsome onions on the farm.
When I was picked out of the ground, I had to say "adios!" to my onion friends and family. Since then, I was put in a very cool section of a grocery store, and I stayed that way for about a week, meeting new friends and learning many things about other onions, and that's when I was picked. My picker was a fat man with a long mustache. He had a white suit on with a fluffy white hat. I was guessing he was a cook. The worst picker you could ever get.
When I was picked and carried to the cook's kitchen, I was put in a very dark and cold storage. Then, after a day, the cook came back for me, washed me, and peeled off my skin. When I looked beside me, innocent white onions were getting sliced to death, and I could hear their painful shrieks saying "JUST KILL ME NOW! I CAN'T TAKE THIS PAIN ANYMORE!" and then I got very scared.
Next turn was me, and I could feel me sweating and my heart skipped an extra beat. I was going to die, and get eaten. And not just any dying, being cut up to death. When the cook pointed the sharp knife to me, I prayed to God that I would at least get sliced and used in a delicious meal. When I was being cut up, I held in my screams, and everything blacked out. I had finally died.

Journal #5
-Silly is a middle aged man who combs his remaining limp strands of hair into an elaborate swirl over his bald spot, gluing them in place with hair spray and hoping no one will notice.

-Silly is a golden retriever who slinks sheepishly off the sofa whenever his owner comes home, hoping-despite the pile of hair all over the cushion- that she won't notice he's been sleeping there.

What else is silly?
Give three more examples.

-Silly is a mom who is obsessed about her child's health. Especially about taking a coat outside, "Take a coat outside! You might catch a cold!", when you are just going to be outside for about 10 minutes before getting into the warm, heated building or bus.

-Silly is a dog who is such a nice dog to its owner, but when it is with the other dogs, he is a bully. He seems so sweet and innocent and caring to his owner. When he is a bully to other small dogs he thinks that his owner would never find out.

-Silly is a macbook that refuses to switch tabs/spaces when its owner's mom is in the room. He doesn't refuse to switch tabs when it's owner's parents aren't there, but he refuses to switch tabs when it's owner's parents are there. It's as if the macbook want to get its owner into trouble for not doing his/her homework.

Write what you see (dove picture)

1. What is your interpretation of this photograph? Turn it upside down and sideways for different views. What is it? What could it mean? How and where was it taken? I think it looks like a person lying down a couch or a chair, sleeping, and the background is black, and the person is just fading away from life. I think it means never be lazy and enjoy life.
2. Discuss this image with at least three other people. Then summarize the interpretation of this picture.
eunice=its a man with sunglasses, don't judge a book by its cover.
So Eunice said that it looked like a man with sunglasses, and he might seem all nice, but you cannot judge a book by its cover, because he's wearing a sunglass, that kind of hides his inner personality. HJ think it looks like an angry rabbit, and it means to stop animal cruelty.
Fiona thinks that is it a couch potato who is wearing sunglasses, and she thinks its ironic because the couch potato is wearing sunglasses, but sunglasses are for active people. So it represents the hypocrisy of life.
3. Imagine that it is a symbol of some kind. What do you think it symbolizes? I think it symbolizes that a person should never be lazy. Since there is a person lying down on a couch sleeping and the back ground is black, and the person is only outlined, which means that that person is sort of fading away from the world. So enjoy life, and stay active and alive.
4. Imagine that it is a newly discovered animal. Describe it. This animal is a glow in the dark animal that moves very quickly. It can camouflage into the environment, and usually at night, it camouflages into the night, so you can only see it's glow in the dark outline of the animal.

Journal Entry #6
Choose one from the following list for today's prompt.
describe your bedroom the way you want it to be.
describe a storm. This could be a thunderstorm, a snow storm, a hurricane, a tornado, a hail storm, a rain storm, or any type of storm.

I went into my newly designed bedroom. I got it done for my birthday, and my family were working their butts off trying to make it my exact favorite. When they said they were ready, I ran up the stairs, and opened my newly painted white door.
I gasped in pure joy when I saw the room. They were light purple, like the color of lilacs. On the right corner of the room, there were
two fuzzy bean bag chairs, one violet and one white. Beside the bean bag chairs, there was my drawer. The drawers had some kind of beautiful elaborate design on it. I couldn't explain it because it was just so beautiful and glamorous. On the top of my drawer, I had little pictures of my family and friends, all in matching frames. The floor was a soft carpet, which was white and very fuzzy. When I looked at the right side, there was my bed. And Oh my goodness, my bed! My bed had whole new sheets, the colors of light pink. On the top of my bed, a lace curtain (or a mosquito net, which is a less glamorous way of saying it.) The lace curtains were delicately drawn over my bed. On the top of my bed were my stuffed animals:D On the side of my bed, there was a little white table for me to work and study with. Beside the bed and the table, there was a huge window, much bigger than my bed, sitting delicately on the wall. The outside view was the clear, blue ocean with lots of trees and flowers around it. Beside my desk, there was a little cabinet for all of my books and things. The room's size was very big, but not super big. It was just enough to make it look cozy and homey. There is also a huge walk in closet with all of my shoes and makeup and clothes. It has beautiful black and pink wallpaper inside the walk in closet, and a huge mirror so I can see single detail about myself. It was a beautiful room, and exactly the way I wanted to ! :)

Journal Entry #7

Fatima is a very spoiled teenage girl. Show me that she is a spoiled girl by describing how she would react when she didn't get a car for her birthday.

Fatima's beautiful green eyes snapped open. Oh yes, she thought. Today was THE day. She snaps 90 degrees on the bed. Put her arms up. Her maid Shauna put her pink silk robes on. She hopped out of bed, and snapped her well manicured fingers. "Shauna, call Bob. Take me to Daddy's castle. pronto!" Fatima barked. In minutes, she would get her dream present. A present she would ONLY accept. A pink ferrari.
"Daddy!" Fatima put on her innocent voice, and ran up to her "daddy". "My girl!" Daddy's voice boomed. "Today is a special day for you, pretty princess. Your aunt Sammie and Sam presented you with your own little vacation island, named especially after you! Grandpa Joe and Jonie presented you with a private jet called Fatima the Princess. Your uncle bought you a whole line of Gucci collection handbags. Now, how is that for my little princess?" Daddy beamed. Fatima shook her head and forced teardrops into her eyes. "But Daddy! I'm 12 now! I should get something much much bigger, and much much MUCH important!!!! DADDYYYYYYYY" Fatima whined. "Alright, alright my dear pooshie-kins, and what would that be, my little girl, hmm?" "I want.. A PINK FERRARI!!! OH DADDY you should have seen Melissa and Ben brag about their new buggie, well, as their friend and next door neighbor, I HAVE TO CRUSH THEM DADDY! Don't you see?" Fatima boasted. "A new buggy hmm? Wait until tomorrow my sweet darling. I'll see what I can do!" "OH THANKS THANKS THANKS DADDY! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH" Fatima ran out of the castle, and went back to a deep slumber. The next morning, she put on her silk robes, and headed out to Daddy's castle. "Oh Daddy-kins~ Where is my new ferrari?" "Oh my sweet Fati! Come in here!" Fatima ran her little girl steps into Daddy's garage. Her eyes opened wide, wide and wider. Where was her car? "Oh daddy, where is my CAR AND WHAT IS THIS UGLY BUGGY DOING IN ITS PLACE?" " Well, Fatima, I thought a red ferrari is way too advanced for your taste. Please try to understand. So how is your new buggy?" Daddy's eyes twinkled. And Fatima fainted.

Fluffy eyed the victim. His eyes were narrowed and his fangs were bared. Fluffy’s low growl took place in his throat. He hunched down low on the ground, ready jump at the victim any second. Suddenly, he leaped and clawed at the yarn ball. He was ready for the a good old fight. His back arched and his hair stood up, his claws and fangs were all over the place. From the living room, you could hear Fluffy's annoyed yelps and angry hisses. Finally, it was all over. The yarn had admitted defeat and surrendered. It another victory for Fluffy :)

Remote Desktop
Teacher's view and the student's view

Teacher
I feel so in control and happy! I can see what my "innocent" students are doing. They cannot get away with Facebook and games much longer! It's so interesting to see what they're doing.. One is doing Cyworld, one is doing Facebook. There's not many people at work!
I feel secure to see what my students are doing, and I have the ability to force them to work!

Student
Gosh! Can't students have a bit of privacy? It's not like we're that untrustworthy. The remote desktop is so annoying, I wish it never existed. It's an invasion of privacy and personal space. It's not like WE are able to see through the teacher's computer, but they can see through ours? It's so unfair.

Use the following words in a story: little boy, torn page, market, cart

The little boy with ragged clothes, torn jeans, and greasy hair, took out the torn page from his dusty pockets. He looked at the page, and tears formed at his eyes. It was a picture of his missing mother. She had gone missing since last month, when she said she was going to the market, that's when she disappeared. He thought, maybe my mother is still somewhere in the market, waiting for me to rescue her. He pulled his little toy cart, which held some food and water and his mother's bIelongings in the "Quest to Find His Mother". He walked on and on. His feet were sore from all that walking, and blisters were forming on his fingers, but he decided that he would never give up. The little boy walked into the crowd of people in the market to find his mother. He called out her name "Mama! Mama!" but he heard no answer. The little boy pushed through the crowd who were waving at him to get out of here and that his mother is dead. The little boys and girls who were with their mothers called him names and threw rocks at him. One hit him so hard that he fainted. He let go of the picture. The picture flew up in the air, and disappeared through millions of people. The boy let a tear drop from his eye, and lied down on to the cold, concrete ground. The little boy's delicate face is covered with snot and tears. Suddenly, another rock hits his head. The boy's head is throbbing so bad, and drops of scarlet blood drops on the ground. He feels woozy and tired. Suddenly, his mind went blank.

Write an eight sentence paragraph on a top of your choice. Make sure that you vary length of each sentence.

When I was young, I used to make mud pies, cupcakes, whatever I could think of. It was very fun at that time, but when I think back, I think about how silly I was. I'm sure everyone in this room has made mud pies in their young ages. Mud pies are just piles of sand and water mixed together into mud, and sculptured, and crafted into a food shape. Now, why we did they do not ask me. It makes your clothes and your hands stained and dirty with mud. Also, it makes your mom so mad that she turns red and, steam practically comes out of her ears. She shouts, "GO TO YOUR ROOM AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DID WRONG". But we all have our dark ages, and making mud pies were one of them.

My bed sheets are yellow and it has a floral design to it. My covers are a white, thick layer of goose feathers, which is comforting, soft, and fluffy for my night's sleep. When I get into my bed, I feel cozied up and warm, and you just want to fall into a deep slumber. What do I do before I go to bed? I fluffy my pillow, until it's perfectly bunched up for my head to rest in, I take off my glasses and put it on the side table, and I crawl into bed. I have my mom turn off the lights, and I pull the covers up way up to my neck line. You hear nothing but the clock ticking, and your dog snoring gently. I close my eyes, and I think just about everything that's going around me, and as if I was caught off guard, I fall asleep without noticing, going into a deep, happy slumber.

describe in detail a person who leaves no stone unturned.

Here is Sally. Sally is a brown haired girl, cut in to a straight line at the end, and her bangs frame her face precisely above her perfectly groomed eyebrows. She has sharp eyes, like a hawk, and a pointy nose. Her hair is shiny, and not one is misplaced. She wears a nice schoolgirl uniform. Her clothes are steamed and pressed always, and her little silver bracelet is hung delicately around her tiny wrist. Her fingernails are buffed into a nice round line, and is always clean. Her shoes are polished. Now, her personality is similar to her appearance, neat and organized. She leaves no stone unturned. She tries her hardest in everything, which is why she is a straight A student. In a contest, the gold medal is practically in her hands. She tries so hard, and always succeeds. Sally is the most perfect daughter you could ever have.

Write a 150 word profile of someone named Margaret Mallory or one of the characters for your short story.

Candice Brown, or otherwise known as Candy is a peculiar girl indeed. Candy is one of those names where you imagine a bouncy blond girl with baby blue eyes, always happy and joyful, oh no no, this is not the case. Quite the contrary, in fact. Candy is a small, petite girl with ghostly features, such as her snow white skin, her bony little fingers, and haunting eyes. She has crow black hair, which looks a lot like a broom bristle. Her eyes are round, and always fearful. Her mouth is always closed in a tight line, so tight, that her lips become white. Candy's back is always crouched, like an old lady. We don't know if its genetic, or because she is unusually shy. One of her most exquisite features is her ice blue eyes. Her eyes are always piercing at you. Ms. Brown always wears nice, formal dark clothes. Now, lets examine her closely shall we? Let's start with her personality. Let's see. She is a kind of person who leaves no stones unturned. Even though she is a loner, she is one of the smartest, most brightest girls in school. Candy has multiple talents, such as piano, and art. We've never seen her parents. No one has. This is just between you and me, but there is a rumor going around that she lives on the old black house on the top of Birch Hill, and some say she lives underground with the bats, and I heard someone say that she has magical power. Oh well, you never know someone until you've met them... or do you?

Baking

Tarts, pies, cakes, muffins, breads, buns, cookies, and cupcakes.. There are SO many varieties that you can create with a whole lot of flour, a dash of milk and eggs, and a sprinkle of sweet sugar. There is no right occasion or a wrong occasion for baking. You could bake for a happy occasion, such as a birthday cake for your friends, or muffins to welcome your new neighbors, or you could bake for a sad, unhappy occasion such as tarts and pies to mourn your passed away relatives. Baked goods can make you feel happy and cared for, since it was made by scratch from someone you care about. I believe baking for someone is a sign of affection and love. I like baking for my friends, especially on their birthdays, or something to celebrate, because it's fun to do for me, and it makes others feel good too!

Free write for 3 minutes on this cliche "ice running through her veins."

What is "ice running through her veins" mean? I've never heard this saying before, sad for me, but I can guess by reading the sentence over and over again to understand the meaning. I don't understand the full statement, but I will try my best to answer this. We all know that ice doesn't run through anyone's veins, its humanly impossible, as scientists would say. Ice is cold. Ice is hard, and Ice does not have any feelings. If ice is running through her veins, my best guess is that the girl who has ice running through her veins is cold hearted, and ignorant. I'm guessing everyone in this room has met someone that has ice running through his/her veins, so by meeting those standards, we can understand better of the cliche, ice running through her veins.

Blurp! Slosh! Snort! Write a paragraph incorporating at least ten onomatopoetic words. Onomatopoetic words are words that sound like what the mean.
Ex. Boing, Hiccup, Beep, Swoosh, and Fizz

Knock, knock! The milkman knocked on Sally's door. Sally came thumping down the stairs to answer the door. Hiccup! Oh no, Sally had the hiccups! She swung opened the door.
"Good morning!" said the milk man, "how are you doing today?"
"I've got the hiccups." replied Sally.
"You know the best way to solve hiccups, is to drink COLD water. This milk might do the trick!" the milkman said as he handed Sally the milk.
She gulped and gulped the cold milk down, and waited 5 seconds to see if the hiccup was gone. It wasn't.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. It always worked for me!" The milkman left.
During the afternoon, Sally still had the hiccups! She just didn't know how to solve it. Ding Dong! The doorbell rang.
Sally swooshed down the stairs, and swung open the door.
"Good afternoon, miss! These flowers are for you." The petite flower delivery girl said.
"Thank you. Do you know how to solve hiccups?" Sally said gloomily, letting out a small hiccup.
"You know, the best way to solve hiccups is to stand upside down! Here. I'll help you!" The flower delivery girl said as Sally put her head on the ground while the flower delivery girl held her legs up.
Hiccup, hiccup. "It still isn't going away!" Sally sobbed.
"sorry miss, but it always worked for me!" said the flower delivery girl and left.
In the evening, the doorbell ringed. Ring Ring! Sally ran downstairs and opened the door. It was the laundry delivery man.
"Good evening, m'lady! Here are your laundries that you've ordered." The laundry delivery man said.
"Thank you, but do you know how to solve hiccups? I've been having them ALL day." Sally whined.
The laundry delivery man let out a sly grin, and replied, "Wait here." and ran off.
She waited and waited for the delivery guy to come back, but there was no sign of him, so she waited. All she could hear was silence. Wait.. silence?
"Hey wait! My hiccups stopped! HURRAY!" Sally jumped up and down in joy.
"BOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The delivery man popped out from behind her.
"AHHH!!!" Sally screamed and fell down on the floor.
"Did that stop your hiccups?" The delivery man grinned.
"NO. You just started them again!" Sally cried.

The quote "they can't hurt you unless you let them" has several meanings, but there is a strong statement that is hidden in the words. People often get discouraged about what other people say about you, because you're a teenager. It's natural to feel that way, but it's how you deal with the situation that results in a different ending. I think basically what the quote is meaning is other people can't hurt you unless you give them the power to, or you give up. So I think to sum it up, it says, don't care about what other people think about you. Surely you have other great friends you can count on, and you should just know that you're not alone. I know that's really hard to think about when you have all these questions attacking you in your mind, but what I like to do is let these two questions stand out, "Is this going to matter in 10 years?" and "By being hated by this one person, will your life be completely ruined?" Philosophers would often say, "wisdom is just a healed pain, but if you never learn how to heal the pain, you will never learn to learn." By dealing with the conflict, and getting over and not caring about it, you will turn sophisticated, wiser, and more experienced. You will open your eyes to see what is beyond the bad's, and focus on the good's. Which is a very hard thing to master. That one person can say whatever she/he wants about you, but in the end, all that matters is the strategy about how you will deal with the conflict.

Reflect on the process of writing a short story. What did you enjoy about it? What was difficult? How would you approach it differently if you did it again?

I think writing this short story has been a great experience, and the thing I liked doing for this story was that we could write whatever we want, and we could express our writing skills, because we didn't have specific topics to write about, and liked brainstorming for this story because there was just so many possibilities to write about. The one thing that was difficult was actually writing the story. The beginning was smooth, and easy going, but then towards the end, I was struggling how to end it, and like others said, I wasn't too sure about the climax either, because I didn't really follow the plot line, and I just went with the flow. If I had a second chance, I would follow the plot line, and make climax and rising action clear, and cut away some useless description, but overall, I thought this assignment was a good way to understand how I write, and what are my flaws in writing, and I think I improved as a writer.

A person's choice of a dog is said to express something about his or her personality. Choose five individuals whose names are well known internationally. What kind of dog would you choose for each? Why? Explain.

If I had to choose a dog for Kim Yuna, I would choose either a white, snowy Maltese that is smart and talented like she is. The Maltese would be small, gentle, kind, and very powerful. The snowy dog would resemble the ice skating queen, and I think Kim Yuna and a snowy Maltese would match well. For Lady Gaga, I would choose a Chiwahwah, because the small but powerful Chiwahwah would match her outfits well, and fit perfectly into her exotic purses. They both have similar personalities such as being not afraid to speak their mind, and being out of the box. For Barack Obama, I would choose a friendly Golden Retriever because they are both calm and peaceful, but at the same time, strong, and well balanced. The dog is friendly with other dogs, like Obama is friendly with other countries. 0 _ 0
For Michael Jackson, I would choose a Dalmation, because the dalmation is black and white (haha get it?!?), and can easily catch people's eyes. They both have sensitive, but eye catching personalities. For Rihanna, I would choose a Shih Tzu, because a Shih Tzu is happy, and optimistic, but at the same time, different from other dogs, and proud, just like she is. 0 _ 0
okay this was rlly random but whatever ENJOY.

The gorgeous yellow color of forsythia is my favorite flower of all. It only blooms in the spring here in Korea, and it is very common to find the beautiful forsythias anywhere. They are very tough, and they usually stick around for a long time. The vibrant yellow colors of the forsythia reminds me truly of spring, because after the hard, long time of cold, colorless winter, the buds of newly grown forsythia reveals its beauty, and that's when the world starts having color again. They aren't like regular flowers, with huge, eye catching buds. The forsythia is a group of small, four leafed flower stuck together in many ways, and that's how it creates the illusion of thicker, and fuller flowers. When I was little, I used to pick the forsythias off the garden, and put them in a vase to give my room a nice burst of color, and fragrance. My favorite flower will always be the forsythia that reminds everyone that spring has finally sprung.

Think about the times you bonded with your sibling.
Now that I rethink back about the times I bonded with my sister, I realize that we've definitely grown farther apart. Because of our macbooks, and our loads of homework, we don't have much time to interact with each other back in elementary school. We are definitely very awkward with each other now, like we've seen each other since years. We weren't very touchy feely from the start, but we've had times that we did. When I was in third grade, and my sister in first grade, we would often play with our mother's friends, and play hide and seek in a huge store like Walmart. I don't know what we were thinking, because I would never do that now. But when I couldn't find my sister for about an hour, I started to cry, and look for my sister. My friends would help me look, but I couldn't find her, when suddenly, I spotted her sitting in the corner of the cold meat section, crying. When I found her, we hugged, and laughed, like best friends. Nowadays, that would be very awkward with each other, because we haven't even hugged for several months. I think it's time I become nice to my sister, and we could bond more like we used to when we were young.

Judging people by their appearance/first impression.
When you judge people by their first impression, or their appearance, you might lose some valuable people that is in your life today. I used to have this friend who had a really bad impression to me. I thought she was mean, and overpowering, and I didn't want to become friends with her, when now, she is one of my friends. You can really never tell what other people are inside, even if they LOOK mean. I guess that's being judgmental, and that's bad but, you should never judge anyone by their first impression, because it WAS your FIRST impression, and you'll never get to know more about other people's personalities if you judge them that way.

Oh no, oh no, oh no! I thought to myself. I was hanging in the middle of the sea, holding behind me a huge box of valuables. I was about to be thrown off the sea. I could feel my body stretching, and stretching, and myself getting weaker and weaker. And I was about to snap!!! I don't want to die like this! NOOO!!!

Reflect on the group work portion of your commercial project. How did you measure up? Do you believe that you contributed to the group as much as others? What was your role? Did you learn anything new about yourself and how you work in groups during this project?

I was more of the supporter of the leader. I think I definitely did a fair amount of job, unlike SOME people, (not going to mention names). I wasn't the one who did the most work, but I wasn't the one who did the least work either. I think I did a fair share of the work, and I'm proud of that. My role was to help edit the video, film, record, and act. I did a various type of job, but not having like a MAIN job to do. I didn't learn anything new about myself, but I think I did learn some things about how other people work, which is another important information, but I think my group did a really great job with the project, and I'm really proud of the finished product.

Pick a character from a day time soap opera. Put him or her in a stranded commuter train. Write about what he or she is feeling or thinking at that moment.

My character is a girl who is very high society, spoiled, and very condescending.

Ew. Ew. EWW. Why am I in this poor people place? This is so gross. I need my super duper deluxe chai latte with extra cinnamon and double fudge whip cream. My driver HAD to be sick with the flu today! He's getting fired as soon as he's well. Who cares if he has ten children and a wife to feed, and they live in a run down building? None of my business. And I'm riding this disgusting, poor place. Ew. People are bumping into my new outfit that was just brought from Spain. When will I get out of this dreadful place? OMG. I am SO tweeting this. Perez Hilton would NOT believe that I'm in this public transportation. My heels are going to get ruined! Ugh!! Common people are so gross. How can they use a transportation like this? Of course, it has to be in this smelly underground transportation where rats live. My limo better be there to pick me up or else I'm literally going to SCREAM!!!

You can tell a lot about a person by what he or she says. Here are some things Grandma Dorothy always says: You can never be too dressed up, A woman should never ask a man to dance, He is quite a snappy dresser.
Based on these sentences, imagine what kind of person Grandma Dorothy is. Write a paragraph describing her. Feel free to use any or all of her quotations.

I think Grandma Dorothy is very old fashioned, and has many rules that she thinks a young girl has to follow. If you look at her quotes, a lot of them describe the olden days etiquette where a woman is only being pampered for a man. I think Grandma Dorothy cares a lot about the etiquette of the olden day's women. I can tell that she cares a lot about pampering, and she has certain rules that a girl must follow. Even though a lot of what she says doesn't apply to the "modern" world. She feels that to have a good life when you're an adult, you need to marry a rich man, not by being smart, or well educated. Grandma Dorothy feels that as long as you marry a good man, you will live a happy man. She doesn't care about grades, but she only cares about her grand daughter being pampered.

Write from the point of view of a freshly scrubbed floor.
I look at my newly waxed body. I couldn't feel any happier that they finally cleaned this place. You know how much dirty things are left around on my floor? Tons. Like the tiny mouse family that always leave their "droppings" after they steal cheese from the cellar, or the little kid that lives here, who always sneezes and coughs on the floor. You don't know how much germs are crawling around in this place. Now my body is cleanly wiped and scrubbed with something that smells like lemon. I feel glossy and clean, and it's the best feeling in the world. Even the owners can see their reflection on my shiny new floor. I'm loving it~

Is there a cause you care about a lot? How far would you go to stand up for what you believe?
There are many causes I believe in, like global warming, animal cruelty, and whatnot. I believe in those, but I wouldn't go as far to petition and go all public. I would be quiet and try to help and accomplish MY goal. Like turning off the lights when you leave the room, and things like that. But I wouldn't go as far to petition in public places but DO really care about the cause :D

Write about a time you hid from someone, or a time you disguised who you really were.

Hiding from your friends, or rather, stalking them. In a fun way of course! It's always fun to stalk on your friends. And everybody has either been stalker or have stalked, and it's a really fun, and giggly experience. When I stalk on people, I usually follow them and hide behind corners, spying on what they're doing. Waiting for nothing important in particular, but just following them for the fun of it. Of course, they always find out you're spying on them after you giggle like crazy behind them, but it's always a good ol' fun time. When I got spied on, usually, you don't know until they either get caught, or you find them giggling behind the wall. And when we spy on each other, we end up laughing at each other until tears come out. Now THAT'S a way to have fun. :)

Recall an uplifting experience and write about it.

Okay. The uplifting experience that I can remember is Field Day. Field day made me feel so alive because I didn't have this much fun for awhile. It was really fun because we got to play with water balloons and we had to cooperate with our advisory people to complete the task. One of the most fun thing we did was melting a frozen T-shirt. We had to work as a team to melt the ice on the t-shirt and make someone wear it. Even though we never ended up melting the shirt in time, we still had loads of fun "trying" to melt it. We banged it on the pole, we stepped on it, and we even put it under someone's shirt! The next uplifting experience was the three legged race. Me and eunice were partners but I was no good at the three legged race, so I kept on making Eunice trip, and we ended up losing but it was still a very fun experience. I wish every day was field day!

Today was parent's day. Which is a day to honor your parents for raising you and also thanking them. For MY parent's day, I cooked breakfast for my family, so my mom can rest while I'm cooking. It was a pretty hard job because I even had to clean up after myself, and I also got my parents a nice bouquet of roses to thank my family. I think parent's day is really important because we should always express our thanks for our parents every day, but sometimes we forget. So we need to have a day just for parents. Our parents do a lot for us, without them, we would've probably died at a very young age. Our parents are the ones who give us the things that we have, and give us the food and love to survive. Sometimes we take them for granted and rebel against the, and that's mainly because we don't think about what our parents did for us, so I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!!:D HEHE

Take two people who dislike each other and stick them in the backseat of a cab. What happens?

It was like a raging competition on who wouldn't speak to each other longer than the other. The just-married couple were on their way back from their honeymoon from Australia, and they had a great time looking at the animals, having nice dinners with expensive wines by the beach, and swimming and flirting with each other in the pool, until the last day of their honeymoon, when everything went suddenly backwards. They had gotten into a fight whether they should take the VIP seats back home or the coach seats in the airplane. The wife had said, "this is the last honeymoon of our lives, and you want to be cheap and ride the coach seats? I want to make this memory have a nice ending to it, Freddy" She had said angrily earlier, and the husband had replied, "but this isn't the last time you're going to be riding a plane, Mary, they'll be other chances. Do you have any idea how much the hotel cost? We can't afford to lose more money" And they have thrown some words back and forth, and here they are, sitting in the cab with their face towards their window. Of course, when they are fighting, the woman always tends to win with their witty words, so they took the VIP seats, but they were still mad at each other for disagreeing. The cab had a eerie silence and the cab driver couldn't help but feel awkward. The only sound that was taking place was the little plitter platter of the raindrops hitting the windowsill. "The weather is not that great today, eh?" The cab driver attempted to make conversation, but there was no reply. The cab driver coughed once, and looked at the back mirror. The couple sighed angrily at each other back and forth, and squirmed in frustration. The driver coughed once, and put his eyes back on the road. What a shame, he thought. I remember my wife and me a long time ago. It wasn't pretty, he thought, this was going to be a looooooooooooooooooong ride.

Memories fade. Some people like it, some people don't. Maybe they have a fond memory that's special that they want to keep in their hearts forever, or they might have a cruel memory that they want to get it as soon out as soon as they can. For me, I want to keep my memories, good or bad, because it reminds us of our childhood, and how we acted. If I were able to save memories in my head forever, I would want to save them, just because I want something I want to hold of my childhood. So, in conclusion, if I wanted to save something for the rest of my life, I would save my memories:D

There's only 3 words in the dictionary that starts with a DW; dwell, dwindle, and dwarf. Write a paragraph involving all those words.

dwell: live in or at a specific place
dwindle: dimmish gradually in size, amount of strength
dwarf: a short person that was born like that :D

There once lived a dwarf called Minnie. She dwelled in a tall apartment building in the busy streets of Seoul. She may seem like an ordinary dwarf, but Minnie has a big secret that no one knows except her, and if a single soul knew about her secret, she may have to kill them. Her secret? Minnie was a wizard. Yes, a wizard with a magical wand and spells and potions and all that jazz, but she wasn't the only one of her kind, she had other wizard friends too. One day, she was strolling through a park, when suddenly, a boy older than her, tripped her and ran away. He was the rebellious type, with the chains hanging around his pants and his shiny gangster cap worn crookedly. Now, Minnie wasn't the soft, gentle kind. She was the one who liked to get revenge, and she was definitely not good-tempered. Her face was as red as a freshly picked tomato. Everyone stared at her while she was dusting her knees and stomping across the park, glaring her evil glare to anyone who dared to stare at her. Minnie went home quickly, and opened up her magic spell book. "The dwindling spell.. the dwindling spell.." she murmured. She was planning to make him so tiny that no one can see him, and he would have to live with the ants. "Aha!" She exclaimed as she found the PERFECT spell for the dwindling spell. It required one drop of fairy's tear, one teaspoon of rat stew, one cup of vanilla, and a bat's wing. She put it in a huge pot, and stirred the liquid with her huge spoon, as her hands went round and round until the liquid bubbled up, and she could smell the dwindle-ing ness. "MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" she exclaimed, and Minnie scooped up a cup of the liquid inside a Coke bottle, so the guy who tripped him wouldn't have any idea. Minnie drove back to the park in to time and tried to look for the boy. But he wasn't there. All she did for her soup turned out to be nothing.

When I was young, I got a big 4 floor dollhouse for christmas, and I don't mean just a small cheap paper dollhouse, I mean, actually a big, hard dollhouses that came up to half of my body that I had to actually construct. Constructing was a pain in the butt. The pieces were so little so they either got missing, or we didn't know where it goes. Thankfully, my dad and I had the walkthrough book of how to make it. When we finally constructed the dollhouse, we needed to put the furniture, and the doll people in there. The little things came with the house, which was a relief since then I didn't have to buy them separately. It was a joy to rearrange the furniture because I loved dolls then, so I wanted to play with it as fast as I can. With my little fingers, I put the small plastic pieces of furniture and people in very neat orders. The mama was cooking a meal in the kitchen, the papa was in the living room, resting, the children were upstairs playing with their toys, and their maid in the laundry room taking clothes out of the laundry machine. Everything was perfect. Then, after a few days of playing with my dollhouse nonstop, I got bored to it, surprisingly. Then I shoved in the corner and never played with it again, but I just put them on the top of my shelf to look at, because it was such a majestic view. Whenever people come to my house, they comment on my dollhouse, on how huge it is, and how pretty it is. I'm still proud of the dollhouse because a lot of time and effort went into building the dollhouse, and someday, I hope to pass the dollhouse down to my generation.

reflection the digital storytelling project.

I thought this project was a really good project to test our story telling skills, and our technology editing skills. Everyone did a good job, and I think I didn't do a bad one either. I used my dog as the main character, where I was writing his point of the story. I thought this project was one of the easier ones because our project didn't have to be long and we didn't need many pictures, so I think the number and time assigned made my project easier, because I didn't have to overload myself with pictures and making it too long. So I thought it helped me with my project, and I don't think I learned much more about the technology because I already know a lot of the skills in iMovie. So overall, I thought this project was easier than others, and I really liked it. I hope to do a project like this again in creative writing.

Use all of the following words in a story: plastic bottle, baseball, dirty handkerchief, crumpled note, unhinged door.
Lila creaked unhinged door and into the the haunted house. She had heard rumors that a ghost haunts this old house, but she never believed it, until her friends dared her to sneak around the house, so, Lila being a daredevil, she couldn't back down. When she slipped inside the door, everything was old, dusty, and dark. The furniture was torn to shreds, and there was cobwebs and dust everywhere on the floor. All Lila could hear was silence inside the so called haunted house. She opened the cap of her lemon flavored plastic water bottle and took a gulp. Lila always needed her lemon juice. Pshh, she thought. This was going to be so easy. All she had to do was pick up a material from the house to prove that she actually went in there. She looked around for things she could take. She couldn't take the couch because it was too heavy, she couldn't take the curtain material because it was too high up. What could she take? When suddenly, something hard hit her arm. She stumbled and crouched against the ground because something or rather someone might be near her. Lila crunched up like a ball on the floor, but all she could hear was silence. Lila peeked her head up and looked around. Nothing was there. She bent down to pick up the thing that hit her head. There was a round ball of paper on the ground. Lila picked it up, and saw that it wasn't a ball of paper, it was a baseball wrapped up in paper. As she unfolded the paper, she saw that there were some blurry words written on it that she couldn't make up the words, and the baseball was just a regular baseball. She had no idea how that ball hit her, but she went out the door, happy that she found something to show her friends.

Do you agree that if you give respect, you get it? Explain.
I agree that if you are thoughtful and respectful to others, you will get the same respect back. There is even a saying, what goes around comes around, if you treat others how YOU would like to be treated, they will treat you like that too. Imagine a person was disrespectful and rude to you, would you want to give them your respect? No. You would probably stay away from that person as possible and not be nice to them, but imagine, there was this other person, who was kind, and respectful to her elders and her classmates. Would you want to befriend them, and would you give them your respect? Of course, yes. That's just one example. I think giving respect to others is helping yourself because in times of need, you might need a person's help, but if you were disrespectful in the past, that person wouldn't want to help you because they know you're not going to be grateful, and why would they do that? All in all, you should treat other people how you want to be treated, and you will get the same respect back. That is how humans work. They don't want to be nice to a person who's mean to them. So just be respectful! :D

Write about a task, job or chore you dislike.
One task I dislike when I come home from school is Kumon. Kumon is a mini hogwon where you get about 5 sheets of math and chinese to do every single day. People might say, "It's only 5 pages, what's the big fuss?" But they won't know unless they actually try it. People KNOW that students are busy with their studying, and have not much free time, and ESPECIALLY this week because the finals are coming up, but I have to waste a whole 45 minutes just finishing up those stupid sheets that doesn't even help me, or matter in my school life, and I have to do them EVERY SINGLE day, which is a pain in the butt. I really can't be that available to waste 45 minutes of my study time. When I do my school homework, the Kumon homework is haunting me to do their homework, and I have to say," I'll just finish up my kumon THEN work on my school work." But as time passes, I get more and more tired, and start losing pace, and that's why I have to stay up all night just to finish my school homework. I think they should get rid of a thing called Kumon in this world.
