It is clear where our life will lead us to result of the actions that we make.
I also think that it means that our life is supported by a bigger matter.
In this case, I think the dew is supported by the leaf.
In a man’s life our lives are supported by others. In a result that is why I think what this means

1/28/2010 I moved to a strange place where I knew nothing about. That place was called, California. First, I didn’t move to the big city where there were large buildings similar to Korea. I moved to a small town, actually probably not even a town it was so small with almost no one that look like me (Asian). Our family was probably one of the few Asian families that lived there. This small little town was called, Eureka. Eureka is located near Oregon, and northern part of California, and I became the new stranger to Eureka. I went to a school where there were only about 100 students from Pre-K through 12th grade. In my class, we had only 7 students including me. Of course, I was the only asian who couldn’t even communicate well with my fellow classmates. I was teased a lot and I was pretty much isolated from the rest for the first few weeks. My classmates has never heard of the country called Korea. They thought I was from another planet. Disappointed and tired of being teased about my small eyes and different colored hair and eyes, I tried to forget about all of those mean words. I was being optimistic about being different from everyone else. After just laughing with my classmates about my small eyes, I got closer and closer to them. Then, I really realized that even people made fun of me and laughed at me, the best way is to laugh with them. I also realized that being the only asian in my class was such a privilege because I was different from everyone else not only from my own personality but also from my appearance. Journal #4
2/1/2010 Close your eyes briefly. Think of one object that’s in the room and focus on it without opening your eyes, recall as much detail as you can about it. After three minutes or so, open your eyes and write about that object without looking at it. (This exercise was done in class and timed.)
A black bear with only 2 colors printed on it. Gray and black were the main colors. The bear had a picture of a skull on its right eye. Stitch marks all over his body with one long one for his eye. This is “bear” was made out of plastic and a keychain for my friend’s camera. The object was a bear version of a Darth Vader. This had the square box thing just like Darth Vader and had red, blue, and white buttons on it. The object was pretty heavy for a keychain when I looked at it.

• Imagine that you are an onion that is about to be sliced onto a hamburger.
When I opened my eyes, I saw this shinny, SHARP object coming at me! If only I had legs to run away with! Why is life so UNFAIR! I’m about to be cut into slices for this edible burger, so that the humans can eat it! I mean, humans can eat a burger without me. I’m just an onion. I don’t taste good~ so why should they eat me? I’ve seen my friends be cut into slices. It was painful sight because they are just screaming and yelling and the chef couldn’t even hear them! Ooh! I just can’t think of it again. Back to reality! The big knife is coming and coming! I feel the cold metal long object about to touch me and slice me into a million pieces. I know that it’s going to hurt. But surprisingly, I’m not so worried about me into slices because when my friends were sliced, they weren’t dead at all... Actually, they were fine except they were doubled and doubled. However into slices. But I know that when they are eaten, they are going to die. So I’m very worried about being swallowed by a human! Oh gosh! I just realized that I’m two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Seven! Eight! Nine! One by one I’m on a hamburger. This is so weird! PDF #3

• Describe a Storm. This could be thunderstorm, a snow storm, a hurricane, a tornado, a hail storm, a rain storm, or any type of storm.
It was just the darkest morning I've ever seen. You couldn't even see the parking lot in front of your apartment! It was just pitch black with little lights trying to shine through the weather. It was snow like crazy and you can see the fountain being covered in white little flakes. I knew there were a gazillion little snow flakes falling in one second. As it piled up and up, the workers were trying to shovel out the snow, however that was no use because it was piling up right after they finished working. I knew the cars outside would probably freeze because there was at least two feet high of snow. The uncontrollable amount of snow was snowing. We left to go to school a lot earlier than other days. It takes 10 minutes to get to the school, however that day, it took us TWO HOURS! It was just insane. When I arrived to school, there were three people in my class that had arrived. Still pitch black, I tried to find my friends, however their buses did not arrive yet. Surprised, our teacher just told us to relax. In the end we ended up canceling the school and went back home. It was one crazy day. Journal Entry #7

I ran away from the unbelievably drunk homeless. It was February 2009, after school at the volunteering place for community. It was near the Su-Nae-Station. The sunlight was bright and the sky was a little bit cloudy but had fair temperature. We stood there for 30 minutes waiting for somebody to donate blood. The street rocks were making their sounds as the cars were passing. My mom, and my 2 friends were with us volunteering. All of the sudden a man that was walking around like a drunk monkey, had a beer in his hands and one jacket. He was making grumbling sounds and saying “walaluwahaheohlala”. He was walking very slowly and going one direction and turning back. He had nothing on except his pants. He was trying to put his jacket on, but he was so drunk that he couldn’t even put his jacket on properly. He had his left arm inside where the right arm should be. I guess after about 10 minutes, he gave up trying to put it on back. He was like an earthquake messing up the ground and trashing things and stomping. He looked like a comedian who was trying to make people laugh. However, he wasn’t even trying. When he was coming our way, we all got scared and I ran away.

Use the following words in a story: little boy, torn page, market, cart.
What would happen if a little boy skipped school? Will he be in trouble? What would he do during the time when he is not at school? Well, I was thinking that he will go to his favorite place in the world, the market. Markets are so fun to be at because you can be with the things that you love, food. Oooh~ and the really fun carts that you can ride on and see if you can go faster than the people next to you. The little boy likes to look at advertisements at markets, and he likes to buy newspapers for 50 cents. When he was at the market, he bought a newspaper and read it. Unfortunately, his favorite part, the comic section was a torn page! Oh he felt so bad and was upset. Fortunately, he went back to the school to just study. YAY! Journal Entry #12

Happiness is, no doubt, is the highest degree of pleasure over a greater timeframe. Humans live in a world where we search for happiness, and if we do not succeed in finding that happiness, we tend to falling into the black hole. Which you can call, depression, suicide, or sadness, in the society. However, if they do find that happiness, the life has reached its highest point. The only thing that is left is the lowest point to be occurred. Therefore, the biggest competition within ourselves is to find that pleasure to lead to happiness. Pleasure is commonly mistaken that it’ll last for a long time. Happiness is not pleasure although they can appear similar. And pleasure is not happiness. You might find pleasure in getting a good grade, losing weight, gambling, drinking, smoking, as the list goes on and on, these pleasures that you undergo for a short period time does not last long enough for you to feel the happiness. Happiness is about believing in yourself and with human relationship. Happiness can be felt from the devotion for work. You can tell a lot about a person by what he or she says. Here are some things Grandma Dorothy always says:
You can never be too dressed up
A woman should never ask a man to dance
He is quite a snappy dresser
Based on these sentences, imagine what kind of person Grandma Dorothy is. Write a paragraph describing her. Feel free to use any or all of her quotations.
You can tell that Grandma Dorothy is a very strict person. I think she is very stereotypical because she thinks that all men should ask women to dance and women should never ask. She is strict because we can never be too dressed up. For sure, she has her own opinions about everything. Such as "he is quite a snappy dresser". Who knows, Grandma Dorothy might think that a girl is not so bright because of her actions. Grandma Dorothy is one of those people who really doesn't care what others think and knows what she is talking about. Journal Entry #35
Write from the point of view of a freshly scrubbed floor.
"Whoops!" I screeched. I didn't know that the floor was scrubbed and was so slippery! I fell on my buttocks really hard as soon as I slipped. The floor was shinning and slippery like a slug's back. As I stood up from the floor, I slipped AGAIN! Ugh this is driving me crazy. The floor was probably thinking, "YES!" I got another person! I am the king of all kings. Floor of all floors! Is there a cause you care about a lot? How far would you go to stand up for what you believe?
The cause that I care about a lot is when there are people who hurt the helpless dogs. I wouldn't go up to the world and go crazy about it because there are about million people in the world who has the same belief as me. I hate to see helpless dogs who are eaten, beaten by human beings. They don't know how the dogs feel! I would still go on protest and make petitions for our school. Journal Entry #37
Write about a time you hid from someone, or a time you disguised who you really were.
The time I disguised myself was when I first arrived to America. I was very shy and didn't like the way I was. In my school, I was one oft he two people that were Asian. I hated that. All my friends had big blue eyes, while I had small, black eyes. My last name is Kim. Everybody would ask me "what kind of a name is Kim?" and I would always go home and cry. One day, I wanted to disguise my own race and who I really was. When another person asked me "what kind of a name is Kim?" I'd say, it's short for Kimberly. DUHHH as if it was true. I still regret saying that when I was little, but now I learned my lesson to not to disguise who I really was. Journal Entry #38
Recall an uplifting experience and write about it.
My uplifting experience was recently in school. Our big Spanish test was the next class, but none of us actually got the concept. So the day before the test, all the Spanish class kids got together and started to complain. We made a letter (about a page long) all in spanish. We tried to make it as nice as possible. I thought it was great and well made. Then the next day, we all met in the 3rd floor at 7:50 am. We all signed the letter and gave it to Mrs. Bray. Unfortunately, she just laughed so hard and thanked us for the letter and just told us to take the test. Journal Entry #39

I read the Tempest (the easy version) and I thought I'd just give a brief summary about it.
In act 1 scene 1, there has been a violent storm occurring. The master and the boatswain tries to have a conversation or a discussion to figure out how to prevent it from wrecking everything. They start becoming really chaotic and out of control. Some mariners enter, followed by a group of nobles comprised of Alonso, King of Naples, Sebastian, his brother, Antonio, Gonzalo. The boatswain always tries to keep the deck okay, no matter who was on board. For this, people start ducking for cover and becomes more and more chaotic. Journal Entry #40
Take two people who dislike each other and stick them in the backseat of a cab. What happens?
Once, there were two stepsisters who hated each other very badly. They would get in a fight every one minute, and sometimes would never talk to each other for a long time. They always told each other about how they don't belong in the family and that they are more important than the other. They would sometimes even hit each other because they wanted to get what they wanted. One stepsister was always in the way of the other. But one day, they both had to got to a party, but their mom accidentally took the car without them. Their only hope is to just take the cab and go to the party. Both of them sat in the back seat because they both liked the back seat. They didn't talk at all for five minutes straight. The only sound you can hear so the taxi man breathing heavily. So in that cab, the two people would probably stay quiet for the whole time. Journal Entry #41

I went to a concert not so long ago, and I was so amazed and impressed. I thought this was a great performance that I’ve seen. Last semester, I went to see Sumi Jo too. When I saw it again this time, I thought it was better because all the songs were in German. I think I know why Sumi Jo is such a famous singer. She knows how to capture the audience attention with music and humor in the songs. The ensemble with the orchestra and the singers were perfect. They blended well and expressed what they were singing really well. My favorite part of the performance was when the 4 singers were trying to get Sumi’s attention (part of the song). It was very funny. I wish I can see her again. Journal Entry #46

I was VERY satisfied with my final product. I was glad that I made a good imovie telling the story of the kids in middle school. I was having so much fun trying to make it. I watched it over and over again to get it close to perfect. It was hard because it was limited to two minutes. I wanted to say a lot more, but I couldn't. If I wanted to say more, I had to talk really fast. Then, nobody could be able to understand what I was saying. I really enjoyed Andrew's video. I think I really like his voice. I sounds like a real documentary that he is proposing about Rubix Cube. He's background music was perfect too. I wish I can do this again for my project. Journal Entry #47

Do you agree that if you give respect, you get it? Explain
I believe that if you give respect, you will always get it back. Fore example, if you are nice you someone and give them their respect, that other person will do the same for you too because that is how you have treated the others. If you don't treat others nicely, then it will come back to you. What goes around comes around. Also, you have to treat others like how you would wanted to be treated. If you give respect, I will bet you 100 dollars that you will get it as well! So respect everyone to get YOURS. Journal Entry #49
Write about a task, job or chore you dislike. The chore, I absolutely dislike is to lay out the spoons and forks on the table for dinner. I hate to do it because it is very annoying. I know it seems like it's not big deal, but it's very frustrating. I'd rather do the dishes than setting the table. I think another reason why I hate setting the table is because it gets all messed up when people start to eat. Everything that you spent time to set the table, it is all gone. However, it was hard for me to stop writing. I kept on writing and writing and next thing I knew, it was 12 pages long! It was hard to cut it down to 7 pages. Fortunately, Ms. McCord let me do it as 8 pages. It took me about 6 hours to do the whole thing. Getting pictures and writing took a lot of time. However, I wish I can do this project again! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! :D I'll really miss this class :(. I can't believe this is my last JOURNAL ENTRY :( THANK YOU Ms. McCord!

I moved to a strange place where I knew nothing about.

Close your eyes briefly.

• What is your interpretation of this photograph? Turn it upside down and sideways for different views.
What is it? What could it mean? How and where was it taken?
This photo is a picture of a man with cool looking sunglasses on. I think that it means that the man in the sunglasses is an invisible man who is under cover. It was taken by a ghost buster who has a camera which can see invisible and ghosts.
• Discuss this image with at least three other people. Then summarize their interpretations of the image.
This photo was taken when the invisible man was running away from the ghost whisperer. While running away, the ghost whisperer took the picture of the invisible man and wanted to show this picture to the world. Some other students thought this was a man with cool sunglasses, curly hair, long beard, triangular nose, and rubber band like mouth. She also thought that it looked like a bunny. Christine thinks that its a photograph of a clown wearing funny glasses, new type of a clown. It was taken by a when it was doing a show. he had his face covered in glow sticks, and it was taken by a normal camera. Andrew thinks that this photo is about a portrait of a man with curly hair and a portrait.
• Imagine that the image is a symbol of some kind. What could it symbolize?
The image can symbolize the man's scared feelings because in the picture, you can see the man in the sunglasses a little scared to be caught. This symbolizes that everyone man in this world can get scared.
• Imagine that this is a newly discovered animal. Describe it.
This newly discovered animal's name is Shabalabadingdong. This animal is edible because its eyes taste like sausages that aren't cooked yet. This animal is almost too small to see from a naked eye. Therefore you need a microscope to see it. It has 2 legs and no arms. I smell like sausages. The animal has 2 eyes which look like sunglasses. This animal lives inside your blankets.

Whenever it is a rainy day, I really enjoy sleeping. Rainy days makes my eyes to be very heavy and I eventually fall asleep. I'm the kind of person that doesn't go to naps. However, especially on rain days, I go to sleep right after I come back from school. I sleep for about 4-7 hours and sometimes forgot to do my homework. Rainy days are still my favorite days because it give me an excuse for taking a nap. I always wished that everyday was a rainy day.

Free Write for 3 minutes on this cliche "ice running through her veins."
The girl was cold as ice and she knew it. She was a cold hearted girl who didn't like to smile. Everyday, she would always think ways to get out of people's sights. Whenever anyone had the courage to say hello or good morning to her, she would never answer. Instead, she would say, get out of my sight! And she'd leave. If she had a warm heart, people won't tell her that she has ice running through her veins. Since she is cold and not very friendly, everyone tells her that she needs to brighten up. Do you think that she will ever be able to brighten up her life? I'm pretty curious too. I've known her for years and she was

This year’s Middle School Girls Soccer Team was one of the best seasons that K.I.S has ever had. We learned how to work with one another and cooperate with our teammates. Through Girls Soccer, I made new friends, even from another grade. I thought that this year, we learned new skills and new strategies in soccer. This season brought more confidence to all of us while playing soccer. When we played as a team, I personally felt really close to my teammates. In the beginning of the season, we all lacked self-confidence, however, as the season went on, there were a lot of improvements in all of us, and it was clear that we were getting better. This year’s MS Girls Soccer was a a great experience and I hope more people would join next year!

Happiness is mostly born from the internal workings of our own minds, thus, pleasure is born from the external world. :) BE HAPPY

Reflect on the process of writing a short story. What did you enjoy about it? What was difficult? How would you approach it differently if you did it again?
Writing the short story was fantastic. I had a great time writing it because even though it took me hours and hours just to finish the story, it felt like it took me just ten minutes. Whatever idea came up to my mind, I just wrote it down. When I was done with my story, I reread it and I was so amazed at myself too! I couldn't believe that I wrote this story. It was funny, it was amusing. However, it was difficult because we were limited to 7 pages. I wanted to write more, however I couldn't. I had to have it "rushed" at the end because I didn't have enough space. Next time if I wrote a short story I would watch out on my pages and not be rushed at the end.

David Beckham (soccer player)- Golden Retriever. David Beckham has blonde hair just like any golden retrievers. They are friendly and likes to play like Daivd Beckham.

Every person in this world has something that they really love. In my case, I really love my family. Each individual wants to take the most important thing for them to the trip. Either it’s their books, clothes, ipod, etc. I would love to bring my computer. My computer is probably the most valuable thing that I have so far. 99% of my school work, my songs, pictures are all in there. Without it, I would just be a sitting duck. Yes, family is another important thing for me in my life, and I would of course bring them. I won’t be who I am if it weren’t for my family that supported me. Lastly, I would also be glad to bring some of my books as well. Books are things that entertain me the most too. Without them, I probably wouldn’t have fun in that trip. These three things are the most important things for me, so in result, they’ll have to come with me.

About 50% of her teachers even call her Coo Coo. Coo Coo and I have been friends since when we were in 7th grade. I like people who are very energetic and who makes me happy. Coo Coo definitely is one of those people that I enjoy being around with. If I'm having a bad day, Coo Coo always comes to me, and she's always the first one to notice that I'm having a bad day. The materialization of love is can be a positive or a negative thing in life. If you have a bad image, this can only be a minus in yourself, but if your image is good and you have a status, this can only be a plus. The judgmental minds of humans are hypocritical. This is because humans want to get a good spouse and have the best image for themselves. However, they want to get rid of all their negative reputation. THIS IS SO HYPOCRITICAL! The fact that humans want a good spouse but wanting to erase their own reputation, is what most people who are living today are.

I believe that I contributed to the group as much as the others because I was the one who edited and tried to make it a good commercial.
