vessels- a ship or boat
stays- something used to support or steady a thing
booty- spoil taken from an enemy in war
prow- the forepart of a ship or boat
On the prow of the vessel there is usually a statue of an angel of a god in the old time.
quartering winds- winds coming from a direction behind an object
Sometimes when the wind dosen't blow and your boat isn't moving you can pray for the quartering winds.
baubles- a showy, usually cheap
shaft- a long pole farming the body of various weapon
head wind- A wind blowing directly against the cause of a moving object
hull- outer covering of a seed or fruit
scudded- to run or move quickly

bailing hooks-large hook that trasports big fish, hay or stuffs
moor-to secure (a ship, boat, dirigible, etc.) in a particular place, as by cables and anchors or by lines.
smithcraft-The art or occupation of a smith (iron)
agile-quick and well-coordinated in movement
bowels-a part of the intestine
vigil-wakefulness maintained for any reason during the normal hours for sleeping.
phlegmy-or characterized by phlegm.
forging-a special fireplace, hearth, or furnace in which metal is heated before shaping.
disembark-to go ashore from a ship.
gullet-the esophagus.
