1. Why did Ulysses' men betray him and open the bag of winds from Aeolus? What happened to those men? Ans:
It is because Poseidon made them think there was gold in the bag by clinking his golden bracelets near the bags secretly. They were fond of the gold and they opened the bag expecting the bag would be full of gold. The bags let out the winds and the boat went back to the Island of Aeolus and the men who opened the bag was flown of the boat.. Ulysses asked Aeolus if he can heal his crew and give him the wind again but Aeolus refuses. So again Ulysses have to move his boat without any help from the wind.
2. Answer the following journal question. What would it be like to live on Cannibal Beach? What problems would it create to have a quicker cycle of day and night? How do you think this kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were?
Ans:
It would be horrible because all day long you have to look out of the ogres and you might not get used to the habitat of the nature there. If the day and night came fast it would be very uncomfortable because when you try to look for a spot to hide from the ogres at night then it suddenly becomes morning and you still have to run away without sleeping. The night covered the view of the ogres. This made Ulysses climb up the leg of the ogre making the ogres unnoticed about him.
Two Kinds
1.I would tell my mother that people have right what they really want to do.
2.I think they can help us a bit by doing what we really want to be and what we really want to do.
1. She cuts her daughter's hair like Shirley Temple. She makes her daughter play piano by force.
2. At first Amy played well but when she hit the wrong note she began to panic and keep on getting other notes wrong.
3. After the talent show Amy's mother forces her daughter to play piano.
4. When she was gown up she played the piano and and even though it has been a long year since she didn't play the piano Amy was able to play the piano and look at the notes. 5. Amy noticed that the note she compared with the perfectly contended and the pleading child was the same note pieces.
CRITICAL THINKING
1.She is not good at anything but still her mom forced her to do test.
2. Fore the daughter she said it was a genius but for her mother it meant best. When Amy told her mom she didn't wasnt to be a genius(prodigy) her mom slapped her and told her that she wanted her daughter to be the best.
3.When Amy said I don't want to be born I don;t want to be your daughter. I think at that time her mother was very shocked and thought how much her daughter hated it.
4. Amy learned that she should not have said those words and her mother learnt that she should not force her child to do something.
5. I don't think so because people if they tr their best they might be who they want to be but the problem is that they just don't try.
6. They have hard time communicating and they different point of views and the way they act in America is different from each other.
