Write a paragraph about a girl named Dot, without using letters with dots.

There was a young lady named Dot. She had blond curls and dark brown eyes. She loved the nature and she always went to the pond near her house. She loved every creature around the pond, even a frog who splashed water onto her dress. One day, Dot went to the pond as usual. But when she went there, stuffs were erroneous. The creatures that had their homes underwater were out of water and the creatures that had to breathe on land, were under water. And when she went closer, she saw a huge, ugly monster under the water. So from that day on, she hated that pond, never went to ponds, and was scared of ponds.

Journal Entry #2

I wonder what it feel like for people to “move”. I mean, because of my dad’s job, I always have to move from one country to another. So far, I went to New Jersey, Korea, Belgrade to Korea, Austria and then here again in Korea. It’s really hard because I always have to get used to a new place every 2-3 years. And every time I move, I feel bad because of my friends, families and other people I was getting along with. And the thing I hate about leaving is that I always cry. I might not cry in the airport, but maybe at school. Who knows.
Since I am really emotional, I cry when there’s something sad going on, or at least I feel like crying. So when it comes close to leaving, I get all emotional. I really don’t want to leave again, which I have to someday. I am happy here in Korea, and i enjoy it. Because Korea’s my home country, it’s harder to leave here. There’s all my family living here, and i have more friends in Korea then anywhere else since I come back every 2-3 years.
Sometimes, I am actually glad to leave a county. Well, i don’t think I will feel that way in Korea, but when i was in Austria, I didn’t cry when i left. I cried a little at school, but i wasn’t THAT sad. The friends there didn’t do really good with me. They just didn’t seem to fit me. But tears burst out the last day. Well, I didn’t have many “good” friends, so I wasn’t sad as much as when I left other countries. But it’s all the same, weather I have tons of friends or none, I will have to move someday.

Journal Entry #3

It’s the last class of the day and my friend is bored. She taps her fingers and looks at the clock and mumbles “when does this class ever end?” Her eyes are barely opened and she is trying hard not to fall asleep. Only a few minutes passed, and she is still very bored. She tries to concentrate on the subject, and when she couldn’t, she looked for something that will free her from boredom. At last, there was one minute left, and everybody started packing up. Finally she was not bored anymore, and she walks happily out the door.

The object I thought about was the clock. It has a brown frame, and it has all the numbers from 1-12. The clock has a hour hand, a minute hand, and a second hand. The hour hand moves to another number as an hour pass, and the minute hand moves to another number after 5 minutes pass. The second hand moves once in a second. It shows what time it is, and people look at the clock to make sure they are on time for something. There are different kind of clocks. There’s a clock that it only shows numbers, for example 1:30, and there’s clock that shows the numbers and the hands.

Memories

Where's your chest of childhood?
Mine is in my heart.

But there's always special ones which can't be erased.
Some memories glow red, and I can remember them clearly,
But some of them has a fading orange color, and is not as clear.

Where's you chest of childhood?
Mine is in the map on my wall.
The countries remind me of the places we went, and all my friends.
I can still taste the food in that country when I look at the shape of it,
And I can see the beautiful sights that made me almost faint.
The countries remind me of all the things I did when I was little.

Where's your chest of childhood?
Mine is in all my friends' eyes.

For the last two days you were not in school because of the weather "snow days". As advanced we have become in the 21st century, we still can not control the weather do you think this is an advantage or a disadvantage?

I think not being able to control the weather is a disadvantage. There are lots of places where droughts occur often, and there is not a lot of rain. In these places, living is hard and animals keep dying. When there's no water, the plants can't grow and if there are no plants, herbivores have a hard living. On the other hand, if there are too much rain, it can lead to huge floods. People in the world loose their family and their home due to floods. If we could control the weather, we could make it rain, just the amount needed. Just like rain, when it snows hard, It is hard to drive, and when the snow turn into ice, it is very dangerous. There can be lots of accidents, and people can slip.

When no one is home, kids are at school and their parents are at work, the dog is sleeping and when the cat meows softly, I rest on the sofa. The kids pressed the last button of the day, the power button, and left me there on the sofa. In someone's eye, it may look like I'm poor, but to me it is the best part of the day. I stretch my plastic body as much as I can and enjoy the time. Just then there comes the sound of the key coming through the keyhole and unlocks it. The door slowly opens and then, a little kid comes in. The cat ran away, and the dog was barking. Oh my god. Now, the bad part started. The kid patted the dog to be quiet, and ran towards the sofa I was resting on. She came closer but suddenly sat on me. She said, "Hey, where's the remote control?" I badly wanted to tell her that she was sitting on me, but there was no way that she would notice. She stood up and spun around and found me. She picked my up so fast that it felt like I was riding a roller coaster. Then she pressed the power button. She raised the volume a little too high. I couldn't understand why she needed to have the volume on so that it could be heard
