Antagonist- opposition that protagonists face
Setting- the time and the place that the story take place.
Symbol- Something that represents something in the story
Theme- a message suggested by a story




Literally Analysis for Chapter 9 and 10

Characters: Father Quinel, Cerdic, Peregrine, and then men.

Internal Conflict: Crispin feeling suspicious about Cerdic.

External conflict: The men chasing Crispin.

Foreshadowing: Father Quinel is not in the church, the church is empty.

Antagonist: Cerdic and the men

Setting: Church, Peregrine’s house

Symbol: The weapons (Sth bad will happen to Crispin) , Cross (Freedom)

Theme: If sth seems strange, they shouldn’t do that.



Chapter 11


Characters: Crispin, Aycliffe and his men, Lord Furnival

Internal Conflict: The nervousness Crispin is feeling while he runs away.

External conflict: The steward giving orders to the men to catch Crispin and kill him.

Foreshadowing: Father Quinel is dead, with his throat slit, and blood pooled upon the ground shows that he must have been murdered.

Mood: Serious

Antagonist: steward and his men.

Setting: At river outside the village.

Symbol: God had completely abandoned him

Theme: Sometimes you have to be independent.



Chapter 12


Internal Conflict: He was worried that he has to live a whole life of wolf head.

Foreshadowing:
He might find a shelter.

Setting: Across the river

Theme: Don't rely too much on others.



Chapter 18

Internal conflict: Crispin feeling frightened by the sir.

External conflict: Sir squeezing Crispin.

Foreshadowing: Crispin will be in a hard situation.

Theme: One could not tell their personal informations to the people they do not know.
