Tyger! tyger! burning bright
In the forest of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder, and what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when they heart began to beat, What dread hand? and what dread feet?
The Comet
by Katherine Chung
Comet! comet! rainbow stone
With every colorful tone,
Where in the universe
Did this rock come from?
Is this a terrifying curse
From the Heavens above?
Will there be more shooting stars?
Was it sent from the planet Mars?
What is this beautiful, wondrous thing
That shines and glows like a diamond ring?
It is so incredible, strange, and glittery,
Is is a dream? or is it a mystery?

Sorry But I'm Leaving
by Katherine Chung
I know I have to try
because I know I can do it
I can’t just say “Good Bye”
when this is my only chance
Before I didn’t know one bit
about my future
But now I have to admit
that I now know my destiny.
I’m sorry mom but I have to say:
I’m leaving you
and I’m sad
But I have to go through
and I hope it’s not bad
as long as I am happy
Yeah, I’ll miss you, too.
So you just have to keep on believing
because I’m sorry but I’m leaving
This superstar status makes me busy all day
and those letters from adoring fans
Remind me that I should pray
I don’t want to mess up my act
Because let my tell you a fact
I promised my mom to make her proud
I told her:
I’ll see you in the spring
And in my full glory
I’ll love to hear your voice ring
And I’ll look at the stars with you
But I have to depart while you’re grieving
Sorry but I’m leaving
I often find myself wishing for a normal life
Getting to be united with my mom
I don’t know how to deal with this
But sometimes I feel so lonely
seeing my mom cry, but all I can say is
Sorry but I’m leaving
Sorry but I’m leaving
Original Poem
Don’t Forget to Remember Me
by Carrie Underwood
18 years had come and gone
For momma they flew by
But for me they drug on and on
We were loading up that Chevy
Both tryin' not to cry
Momma kept on talking
Putting off good-bye
Then she took my hand and said
"Baby don't forget:
Before you hit the highway
You better stop for gas
And there's a 50 in the ashtray
In case you run short on cash
Here's a map and here's a Bible
If you ever lose your way
Just one more thing before you leave
Don't forget to remember me"
This downtown apartment sure makes me miss home
and those bills there on the counter
Keep telling me I'm on my own
And just like every Sunday I called momma up last night
And even when it's not, I tell her everything's all right
Before we hung up I said
"Hey momma, don't forget:
to tell my baby sister I'll see her in the fall
And tell me-maw that I miss her
Yeah, I should give her a call
And make sure you tell Daddy that I'm still his little girl
Yeah I still feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be
Don't forget to remember me"
Tonight I find myself kneeling by the bed to pray
I haven't done this in a while
So I don't know what to say but
Lord, I feel so small sometimes in this big ol' place
Yeah, I know theres more important things, but
Don't forget to remember me
