Describe Ulysses-what does he looks like and acts like? Try to be specific.
By the cover of the page, I knew that Ulysses had a red beard, and hair. When Ulysses blinds the cyclopse, this action shows that Ulysses is very clever, or very smart to get away from something that is dangerous. Also when Ulysses holds on to the sheeps for escape, I think that that was a smart move to make. Something about Ulysses is that he is very smart. I think that Ulysses is going to escape everything that is horrifying in his journey, and return to his home Ithaca.

Why did Ulysses' men betray him and open the bag of winds from Aeolus? What happened to those men?
The Ulysses' men betrayed him and opened the bag of winds from Aeolus because the men thought that the bag was full of booty. The men thought that the bag was full of treasure because Aeolus was rich, therefore the men thought that Aeolus gave only Ulysses treasure. The men got jealous and opened the bag. When the men opened the bag, the winds came out. All of the kins of the winds for example, South winds, North winds. The winds were so strong that even though that the boat was close to Ithaca, the wind made the boat turn the other way and sail to a place that they don't know. The men were plunged of the boat in the water because of the wind.

What would it be like to live on Cannibal Beach? What problems would it create to have a quicker cycle of day and night? How do you think this kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were?
I think that living on the cannibal island it will be really difficult to survive. It will be like playing a survivor game because there are dangerous obstacles like the carnival giant, and also the quick cycle of night and day that will make the people to sleep. Also, I think that the temperature will be constantly changing, because at night it is cold and also at day maybe hot.

In Chap. 9,The Wandering Rocks, Ulysses has to decide
what to do for himself. All of the advice that he has been given turns out to be useless. What does he decide to do? Have you ever been in a situation that required you to make an important decision on you own? How did you decide what to do?
Ulysses decides to ignore the advice from the ghosts because the prediction was all wrong. I have been a situation where I had to make an important decision on myself about tests. the block schedule was EFGA, and I had one Science and English test. I had to study both but I didn't know what I should study first. I decided that I should study Science first which was E block because it was first and study English after and also lunch.
