I believe that Ulysses would have looked like an about fifty-year old grandfather with beard. I think Ulysses would have acted like a patient grandfather waiting for questions to be solved since he was famous for being smart and intelligent. In a comparison, I would compare Ulysses to Sherlock Holmes both in appearance and their behaviors. I believe that Ulysses would have been very wrinkly with black hair and small eyes. However, I also believe that he would have been very intelligent-looking and actually very generous to his people. Although he might have been quiet a bragger, I think he was a great leader, or a king of Ithaca.

Topic: Why did Ulysses' men betray him and open the bag of winds from Aeolus? What happened to those men?
Ulysses’ men betrayed their general and opened the bag of winds from Aeolus because they were blind about the treasures. They assumed that the bag from Aeolus would be full of golds and jewels. So, they tried to steal them from Ulysses because they thought it was unfair for Ulysses to have all the treasures himself.
When those men cut the bag with their knife, the north wind, south wind, and the east wind came out. These winds were so powerful and mighty that they pushed one of those cruel men into the water. The winds have shown the result of betrayal to those men of Ulysses.

Topic: What would it be like to live on Cannibal Beach? What problems would it create to have a quicker cycle of day and night? How do you think this kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were?
It would be very scary and perilous to live on Cannibal Beach. I would be hiding among the rocks or plants to keep myself safe from the man-eating ogres. It would be more difficult to find food and drink if there was a quicker cycle of day and night. However, it would also be benefit to me because more darkness during the morning and afternoons would mean that other won't notice my location. I think the quicker cycle of day and night kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were because he could not see the cloth on giant's leg in darkness. This will both result as benefit and detriments for me to survive on Cannibal Beach.

Topic: In Chap. 9,The Wandering Rocks, Ulysses has to decide what to do for himself. All of the advice that he has been given turns out to be useless. What does he decide to do? Have you ever been in a situation that required you to make an important decision on you own? How did you decide what to do?
In chapter nine, Ulysses decided to ignore all of the advice that he has been given. He assumed that since the ghosts loved to trick the human-beings, they made up the whole predictions. However, later on, he changes his mind and listen to all of the advice that he has been given because he finds out that wandering rocks do exist and the predictions seemed to be true. I have been in a situation that required you to make an important decision myself few months ago. I had to choose either two of my best friends or one another friend. I chose two of my best friends and the other was very mad at me. She still blames me fore not being on her side. I regret sometimes, but it was easier for me to choose two of my best friends. They were my closest and they were two friends while their opposition was a single friend who was not as close as others were. It was very important to decide because whom I choose meant who I would accept as my best friends. I believe that Ulysses regretted after deciding not to listen to the advice.

Topic: Ulysses has gone through much physical and mental hardship. Through all of this he has been determined to return to Itacha. What people and/or places in your life would you be willing to fight as hard as Ulysses to get to/see. Explain your answer.
I would be willing to fight as hard as Ulysses to get to my own family: my father, mother, and sister. Although they are sometimes meddlesome and annoying, they support me as hard as I can. Also, they are blood-related with me, so they seem to be most important and significant.
