Q: Describe Ulysses-what does he look like and act like? Try to be specific.
A: I think that Ulysses would of looked very muscular because he fought a lot with others and have cuts and bruises on his body from fighting. He might of acted very tough and courageous because he wanted to be known as a strong person and hero. Ulysses could of been in the middle ages, maybe in his thirties.

Q: What would it be like to live on Cannibal Beach? What problems would it create to have a quicker cycle of day and night. How do you think this kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were? Post to the wiki/journal/response to literature.
A: Living on Cannibal Beach, it would be very scary because the people living on Cannibal Beach are all cannibals so they eat human flesh! I might be killed and eaten by them! Having a quicker cycle of day and night might cause problems such as no sleep, dont know when to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and less time to work. Also, all the animals would die so humans would have nothing to eat. The darkness kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were. He learned that things that you see might no be what they seem to be.

Q: In Chap. 9,The Wandering Rocks, Ulysses has to decide what to do for himself. All of the advice that he has been given turns out to be useless. What does he decide to do? Have you ever been in a situation that required you to make an important decision on you own? How did you decide what to do?
A: Ulysses decided to turn north and go to the Isle of the Sun-Titan when he found out that what the deads had told him something useless. I have been in a situation like this when I had to make an important decision on my own because I had only 2 options: Staying in KIS but only see my dad 2 a week or move to TCIS, which is a closer school to my dad and see him every day. I never liked TCIS because it never felt comfortable there. I went there a few times for jamborees but it didn't feel like home. Even though I chose to meet my dad 2 a week, I still made a choice where I am comfortable in.

Q: Ulysses has gone through much physical and mental hardship. Through all of this he
has been determined to return to Itacha. What people and/or places in your life would
you be willing to fight as hard as Ulysses to get to/see. Explain your answer.
A: My mom is very strict in studying and playing. Mostly all she talks about is school work, tests, and paying attention in class. When I want to go hang out with my friends, my mother never lets me or has to make a deal such as, if I get a good grade on my tests then I can go. I fight and study hard in order to be able to go hang out with friends.
