Ulysses Summary
-Ulysses was with his wife having a great time. However, because Paris and Helen ran away, Troy and Greece had a big Trojan War. Greece went to Troy to get Helen. However, Greece wins by a great strategy by making a Trojan horse which led to inside the Troy castle. Then, all the Greece soldiers went inside and killed every man and captured women.
Describe Ulysses-what does he look like and act like? Try to be specific.
-Ulysses acts very brave in this chapter by helping Mamelaos get back Helen. Ulysses has a red hair sunken eyes and grooved brow. When Helen was finding a husband, Ulysses said he would help Helen if something happened to her. So, everyone blamed on Ulysses because Ulysses was having a great time with his wife Penellopi.
In class assignment for Fri., Sept.11, 2009. Assignment due Tue. Sept. 15. Answer the following journal question. What would it be like to live on Cannibal Beach? What problems would it create to have a quicker cycle of day and night. How do you think this kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were? Post to the wiki/journal/response to literature.
It would be very hard to live in cannibal beach because in the beach. There is not that much things to eat and it is hard to live in beach. There is no one to communicate or have fun with.
Journal Entry #4 Ulysses - In Chap. 9,The Wandering Rocks, Ulysses has to decide
what to do for himself. All of the advice that he has been given turns out to be useless.
What does he decide to do? Have you ever been in a situation that required you to make an important decision on you own? How did you decide what to do?
- Ulysses decided not think about the decision because it might be very difficult to do. If he got tricked, he wont be able to go to home and see his family. Also, Ulysses made many good decisions. So, I think he will do a great job on what he is doing.
-The problem was ethical to solve.
-The skiff in the boat was very sharp.
-I was glut with money today.
