Currently, I am studying a story about a family that experiences using a mirror for the first time and have many different problems while using it. The main character, Jan Skiba said “A glass mirror shows only the skin of the body. The real image of a person is in his willingness to help himself and his family and as far as possible, all those he comes in contact with. This kind of mirror reveals the very soul of the person.” After reading this statement I thought a lot about myself and my real image. When I thought about myself, as in appearances, I could easily imagine how I looked like, but had difficulties of seeing the inside of myself. After I thought awhile about the soul of me, I felt that I should help myself and many others and try to know the true spirit of myself.
Journal #3 Describe someone who looks bored. Don’t use any form of the words yawned or stared or sighed.
Whenever I look at your face, you always seem to doze. You seem like you do not even pay attention to what I am talking about. You are rolling your eyes and frequently turn around to see the time. You cannot stop fidgeting with the things near you. Are those more interesting than I am? You try to talk about other topics and gaze at me as if I am a sloth sitting in a tree. You often rub your eyes and stretch your limbs. You tab the desk with your fingers with impatience, and look! you are still doing it now. Are you like this to everybody else or is it just my one-hour speech of how you act when you seem bored?
Journal #4 The Fire Extinguisher
The red shiny body of it makes it easy to spot in emergencies. The yellow handle is sprouted out in two directions like a beak of a duck. It has a long black hose drooping on its side. It is on a base, the same color as its body, as a statue stands an a pedestal. It helps to extinguish small fires and can save many lives. It may not be stylish but it is a important object in life.

Silly is a middle-aged man who combs his remaining limp strands of hair into an elaborate swirl over his bald spot, gluing them in place with hairspray and hoping no one will notice.
Silly is a golden retriever who slinks sheepishly off the sofa whenever his owner comes home, hoping-despite the piles of hair al over the cushion- that she won’t notice he’s been sleeping there.
What else is silly? Give three more examples.
Silly is a group of 7th grade girls at Korea international School singing, dancing, and fooling around when the rest of the citizens of the country in grave as the former president, Kim-Dae-Joong passed away
Silly is a little hamster,unarmed-believing it is the ruler of the world by having the power among smaller insects and creatures-calling for a fight against a fierce bull dog.
Silly is a boorish Korean woman acting very arrogant and graceful by wearing lacy clothes, to seem like it outside and cooking Kimchi with a lacy dress and rubber gloves on.
Journal #6 Describe a storm. This could be a thunder storm, a snow storm, a hurricane, a tornado, a hail storm, a rain storm, or any type of storm.
The blizzard at Egypt is giving quite a shock to many people. The reason this abnormal storm is looming to this hot and arid region of Egypt is said to be an effect of the global warming, which has been a problem for the last several years. The scientist all over the world had expected an event like this to happen soon in about ten years. However, none of them expected that it would happen, today.
Yesterday, the storm seemed to stay in the middle of the Indian Ocean and disappear without harming a soul. Whereas, it is quite an unforeseen case that it suddenly moved on to Egypt during the night. The government of Egypt and UNESCO is rapidly taking the ancient heritages to export to another place for now. Fortunately, because there is not a great population in Egypt, people are expecting that there would not be much loss of lives. The only problem is about the precious heritages not being destroyed and able to be placed back into there own location.
Although everyone is concerned about the most mysterious wonders if the land that had cultural blooming, no matter how much we try, tragically, Egypt and its heritages would not be the same as it was before. We cannot do anything about this. This is what we caused and it is what mother nature is paying us back for. The only thing we can do is to pray that the damage would not be large.

went to 'Dug-Soo-goong" Art gallery to see Fernando Botero's paintings
The reason I posted this picture is because this piece of writing will be about the experience of my mother and I riding a subway to the Dug Soo Goong Art Gallery to see a few of the masterpieces belonging to the most famous modern artists all around the world. It was a great opportunity to learn more about interesting art techniques and increase the depth of creative ideas and experiences. To increase them properly I believed that using the public transportations would be better than just staying in the car. Therefore, the two of us had to dawdle around the street fanning ourselves with pamphlet we got from advertisers on one of the hottest days this year. Finally, after the stuffy, but radical voyage at the subway was over, we walked to the Dug Soo palace where the gallery is located.
Paintings, drawing, and even imitations of other paintings were so very new and amazing to me. One of the most unique features of Botero's paintings is that they are all described as extremely obese people. It was rather repulsive to see the fat sticking out of the tight apparels, but it some how taught me a lesson. Although, healthy and chubby would have been considered as beauty, it is not anymore and I should stay in shape or it would be disgusting for others to look at me. Not only humans, but also, still objects such as eating utensils, musical instruments, and fruits are drawn round and large-width-sized. Although it was tiring and I was soaked with rain after the visit to the gallery, I had a very enjoyable date with my mother.
Journal #8 Write a paragraph about a cat attacking something, but don't use the words hiss, scratch, or pounce.
Our house is like any other house. It has a television, beds, a stove, a bathroom and other objects you can easily think of in an average home. However, there is one kind of furniture we do not have. It is a sofa. We cannot even dare to purchase one. We are afraid it might get vandalized as soon as it arrives in our living room. Adorable and cute little Fluffy cannot stand of the sofas.
A few months ago, my family moved to a new house. We were organizing all the furniture and doodads, when we found a rather large dust bunny. We were all quite astounded to see how large it was and could not believe the people who lived here before us could leave such a revolting object in the house. Then, we were astounded once more to see when the dust bunny started to move. It was gently transforming its body as a drop of food coloring gradually smear out in the water. Soon, the humongous dust bunny was staring into our eye. It was not a giant combination of dust, but it was a kitten.
Before we had a sofa brought in, our house was fairly peaceful. Actually, it was quite enjoyable. The kitten came out to be abandoned and we now all felt as if she was part of the family. We named it Fluffy. However, about two days ago,our new sofa arrived. As soon as it saw the large furniture, we could easily see that it was going to swallow the large object. Then, the problem happened. Fluffy started to show evil in its eyes and it sprang to where the sofa was located. It curved its back and let out a screech. It appeared its claws and dived into the cotton. None of our family expected such a thing to happen. Fluffy was a very calm animal, but suddenly seeing her so hysterical about the sofa, we could not help but stare at the unusual event. We were all quite stunned but my father got into action as soon as he saw Fluffy pull out a handful of cotton and started to bite the poor couch with its sharp fangs. He pulled it away from the sofa and kept it in its cage for a while. According to the neighbor next door, the owners of Fluffy had left her as they could not have a proper place to relax. She said Fluffy’s mother had passed away on a sofa and that is why she dislikes them so much.
I felt sorry for Fluffy and caressed her very gently in my arms. She had lost her mother, but its love and loyalty to her had not faded away. I was touched by her thoughtfulness. I could not believe that anyone could desert a being like Fluffy just to possess a couch. I pledged I would never in my life leave her alone and I will keep her safe.

Among all the colors, when we ask anyone which color is he most soothing, most will chose green. Green is the color of nature. It is the color close most of the things in the world. Therefore, today, I wanted to take a closer look at the other side I have never known before about my favorite color, green.
Green is a symbol of envy. This comes from the idiom, “green with envy”. The idiom is said to be originated because envy is a sick feeling that can hurt many people. When people are sick, their faces turn slightly green. Although green is the color of envy, many people love this color. There are even holidays that people wear green all day. Saint Patrick’s Day is a day when most people wear green all day. This is for St. Patrick who used green shamrocks to honor the god. This is when everyone wears green. People who did not wear them get pinched by others to always remember to wear green.
Like this, green is not only used to describe eco-friendly products, but in special occasions. No that I know more about green, I feel proud. I guess I would wear a green t-shirt tomorrow to celebrate myself learning new and interesting facts.

There are many records in the Guinness Book of Wold Records. People all around the world try out strange things to show everyone their names on the book of world records. Personally, I tried to break the record the make the wolds largest rubber-band ball. However, I failed as I did not know how to start. Currently, a Korean housewife set the record for the longest singing by an indivisual.
Singing for a few minutes non-stop is tiring for most people.People would be out of their breaths after ten songs. However, a fifty four year old lady did not get distracted and sang for seventy six hours six minutes and a second. Her name is Kim Sunok. Before Mrs. Kim challenged the interesring challenge, Marcus Lepat from the United Stated of America held the record forthe longst time. However, Sunok confidently beat Marcus and sang longer than seventy six hours, but as her family members and officials stopped her because they were concerned about her health. Kim Sunok sang to test herself and show a challenging spirit during the economic crisis. The Korean Record Institution promised to submit the video tape to Guiness. Finally, she would be special and the best at something. Perhaps, others would would want the same ambition I have. HOwever, the thing that every person can do is to be themselves. I believe everyone is special and the best they can do is to be themselves.
Journal #11 Fatima is a very spoiled teenage girl. Show that she is spoiled, by describing what happens when she doesn’t get a car for her birthday.
Fatima is probably the most spoiled girl in Richrichandrich High school. Most of the students in this school were grown up as a rich child and still remain wealthy. However, as for Fatima, she knows that fact. She knows that she is the only granddaughter of the owner of the Filton Hotel. Fatima Filton has everything. she has a golden ipod, a second floor mansion with an air conditioner for her pet dogs, and any possible thing a 15 year old can imagine. Now, Fatima is in the age of sweet sixteen. She wants a car for her birthday. Not just a ordinary one but the car which Mercedes, Porsche, and many other expensive car brands cooperated to make the only and best car in the world. Finally, the day of her birthday had come.
Fatima received a small box that would just fit a key in it. She opened the box with her smile reaching her ears. Suddenly, the smile dropped. Her face no longer smiled, yet became more and more scowling. She gradually rose up from her seat and yelled her head off to all of the people invited to her party. “ I NEVER SAID I WANTED A GOLDEN WATCH!!!! I SAID I WANTED A CAR!!!” “but...its the watch all gold with a few diamonds...” said her mother. “ THTS IT!! THIS IS LIKE THE WORST BIRTHDAY IN MY LIFE!!!!” and Fatima left the room. She took the elevator to go to her room. She was calling her friend in Germany to learn how to drive. She kept complaining to her when her friend was fed up to respond to her and shouted a sour advice. “YOU’RE NOT THE ON WHO DESERVES TO GET AL THOSE PRESENTS. IN FACT, YOUR MOM IS THE ONE WHO SHOULD GET THE CAR!!ARE’NT YOU EVEN GRATEFUL THAT SHE SAFELY HAD BIRTH TO YOU AND RAISED YOU WITH SUCH CARE?? OH MY GOD, YOU ARE THE MOST SPOILED KID I’VE EVER MET IN MY LIFE!!NOW IF YOU WILL EXCUSE E, I HAVE TO CONTINUE SHOPPING AND DONT EVER CALL ME AGAIN!!” Fatima was shocked at this. Nobody ever thought any body could say that to her. She was so puzzled and frustrated that she was going to call anther friend of her when it occurred to her that she had nobody to call. She had just lost her last friend. She thought about what her friend told her. She regretted that she was so boastful and spoiled. She decided she will change. She apologized to her parents and became a more humble person.
Journal #12 Describe what you feel right now using your sense of smell. If you feel frustrated, write about what your frustration smells like. Use vivid words. Don't skimp on adjectives.
I have so many feelings, now. I feel humorous, sorry, relieved, embarrassed and confused. My feeling smells like the cafeteria, all mixed with the smells of scrumptious treats, the 2 year old piece of cheese at the corner of the floor, the copious dishes of lunch, the extraordinarily sour grapefruit, and the cook's special which nobody knows what is inside. Although there may be unpleasant smells, all those smells combine to create a delightful scent that makes one smile when they scent it.
To start with, I feel humorous because my friend Suahn was trapped inside one of the lockers in front of the band class. Suahn, Jasmine, and I were on our way to Creative Writing after lunch. We were passing the lockers in front of the music classrooms. They were large compared to normal lockers. However, they were not that huge nor tiny. It was perfect for a person to squat and rest. A spark came through all of our minds. The doors of the locker was unlocked and nothing was inside. Suahn started to step inside and Jasmine and I were actively helping her going in. Suahn was inside when the door was closed. We were fooling around by sticking our fingers in and out of the holes in the locker. However, Jasmine accidently changed the combination of the locker by brushing her arm on the locker. Suahn was trapped. We could not open it. Jasmine and I were in panic. Jasmine and Suahn were guessing possible combinations. i scudded to find a teacher who could help us. Luckily, I encountered Mrs. Digges and we were looking for Mr. Longdren. Luckily, Mr. Longdren was in Mrs. Stephen’s room and he opened the doors for Suahn. We were very relieved. However, looking at the teachers giggling at us as if we were ridiculous, we were embarrassed. We had no time to apologize as we had to go to class soon. Thus, we are planning to say that we are very grateful and sorry to them after school.
Thus, my feeling smells like the smell of the cafeteria with many mixed and complicated smells of the cafeteria. I feel humorous, sorry, relieved, embarrassed and confused. Place this sentence in a paragraph where it will make sense: Bea had never wanted to be a bee.
Beatrix lives alone in a island somewhere near the Caribbean. She usd to live with her sister, Flora. Flora loved flowers that she wanted to become one herself. One day, Beatrix was picking flowers in the woods to please her older sister. However, when she arrived to the water. She could see nothing but Flora’s shoe floating that had her name and flowers embroidered in it. Beatrix then realized that her sister was swept away by the tides. After a few years had passed, Beatrix still remembers her smile, her voice, and her looks. She sees a bee buzzing around a flower. It reminded of her sister. Bea had never wanted to be a bee. Today was different. Today, she wanted to become a bee and hover around her sister, which she believed was her sister was reborn into a flower. Journal #16 List 10 things you usually do on a rainy day. Pick one from your list and freewrite for 5 minutes.
Sit down on a stool and look out of the window thinking of what I could not think of before because of the busy days
Sigh and feel bad that I could not go outside and watch an outdoor show.
Read books that are calm and touching and listen to to raindrops falling.
Stay at home listening to the DJ talking about moody songs and stories.
Look out the window while I am lazily fidgeting with my homework
working hard on my homework and imagining that I am competing the rain to see who finishes first and creates a rainbow(For me i is having my homework done.)
Feeling painful that I get poor grades than last year and keep on telling myself that I should do better.
sit down with my laptop, surf the internet, and chat with my friends
tip my head from side to side in the rhythm of the raindrops falling
Run outside where nobody is and get totally soak
The rain is dripping. The sun is hidden behind the gray mist of clouds. Raindrops bounce of the overflowing puddles and move on to create another one. I am here on a stool looking out, doing nothing.
People come and ask me, "why are you wasting your time when you can read another book or play another game. I reply,"I am busy now and what I am doing is important. Important than anything I do everyday. I am thinking." Some may laugh and snicker, but I do not care what they think of me this particular moment. I am thinking. Not about celebrities, not about how strict teachers are at school. I try to remember and create.
I think of what I missed in school. I think about what happened to me from big amazing events to tiny events that I do not even need to think about. I create stories of my head going to Egypt with Donald Duck. I imagine me asking Peter Pan to lend me a pound of pixie dust to visit the Andromeda milky way. The constant, yet random raindrops batting the window helps me think of all the unnecessary and new ideas I did not have time to think of before.

An example: Spring is a wonderful thing . Flowers start to sprout with the help of rain showers .
Teens have certain keens. My friends and I are interested in the most famous songs today and who these song are sung by. We love to sing and gossip about a celebrity. Teenagers enjoy talking behind others' backs although if a teachers catches them they might be in danger. People the age of ten to nineteen prefer shopping for clothes than to give their teacher an apple. We have nothing to fear for we are history. But,I am worried if we continue, won't we end up sweeping others' rugs?

I strongly disagree about screen sharing in school. The teachers have the rights to know what their students are doing in class. However, I do not believe class mates have to know what we are doing with our computers during class time. I have experienced this during Creative Writing class and I am frustrated that a person did such a thing to another to give have fun when the other person would get hurt.
Last Creative Writing class, I was making a few changes on my project when somebody took my mouse to the spot light and said “Nice work!!!” I thought it was one of my friends, but when they were rising up from their seats to present their projects and the words were keep on typing, I realized it was not them. Then the person said “ I am mr. Bray. I saw you doing ichat the other day. You really shouldn't be doing that. I was puzzled because I have never did ichat at school unless it was before the school started. In addition, I am not a big fan of chatting and I do not usually enjoy it at school. I did not know what to do. I although I did not do it, the fact that Mr. Bray told me that I did it thrilled me. I was thinking of it all the time until class ended hen I went to Mr. Bray’s office to tell the truth that I never chatted in class before. When Mr. Bray said it must have been a joke of someone else, it angered me more. Tears dropped from my eyes of anger but I stopped as everybody was so worried.
After this, I hope that no one would ever share screens without permission. It is a very rude and unethical thing to do. I hope that nobody would ever experience this and it will never happen again.

Currently, I feel that I am perfectly adapted to the school, now. I feel this as I took my first two Accelerated Reading tests this morning. Although I did get a few wrong, I felt that now I can finally do other things with y time, other than doing my homework. Last year was my first year in Korea International School. I had a hard time catching up with the homework and I could not even think of doing my homework for hakwons.
This year, I am able to organize my time to do both assignments and not miss any of the information I am required to remember. But today, by using only ten minutes of my leisure time, I could do two quizzes and get closer to my goal for English class. By gaining points and realizing what I did not understand, I felt proud and happy that I completed and learned something new in such a short time. In fact, I quite enjoyed it. I could not reach my goal for this quarter because I got a few wrong. Therefore, I am planning to pick up a book from the library to read. I noticed that I am attending to many school activities. I started soccer this quarter and I am planning to do basketball as soon as I get the opportunity to. I am pretty precise that I can be one of the characters in Mr. Salazar's movie that he is planning to film. I am elected to become the class representative next semester. I wish to become the school president next year. I will sign up for the school musical after school. As I am getting use to the school, I think I am trying to participate in many activities.
As much as I torture myself with these activities, I should try much harder than before. Last year, I did not hang around with my friends a lot and just studied to get a good grade. Now, I feel that I am not as good as when I was a sixth grader. I should push myself more and more to improve. People say that when a person holds on to two many things, one will miss one or two and eventually let go of all of them. I do not think this is true. As long as I try hard I will not lose anything from my fingers.
Journal #23 They say opposites attract. Use at least five pairs of opposites in a paragraph about some kind of transportation,
Examples: weak/strong, loud/quiet, high/low
Yesterday I rode the subway to go to a department store to purchase my mothers birthday present. Because it was about six, the time when most business people return home from work, the subway was crowded . I had to squeeze through all the people to fit inside the long transportation. As I stood there, squished by people on every side of me, I saw interesting people. I saw two high school girls with short skirts and tight shirts, chatting about unnecessary stories the whole trip. I saw a middle aged man dozing off as he finished off the last article of his boring newspaper. I saw a beautiful young lady with extremely long hair and huge, twinkling eyes to match. As I got off the stuffy tube and jumped onto the station, I could feel a cold breeze through the empty station. I felt as if I transported into a different world. Taking my importantticket, I scurried home. As I departed, I saw the subway train leaving into a tiny speck to the darkness.
Journal #24 Weave a story around this mixed proverb: Silence is a great healer
Loona scurried up the stairs in hurry. She gasped and panted. She was tired, though she could not stop. She was late for her English class.
At Loona's school, three tardies were counted as one detention. She never had detension in her life and she was in fear of being late. 'It would be the second time." After this,I have no choice but to sit and stare at the wall for half an hour.', She thought. She only had thirty seconds till the bell rang. Twenty. Ten. Five, four. three, two, one! RRRIIIIINNGGG!!!!!At last. She was on time. As she rescued herself from being tardy, a proud smile appeared on her face. Then, she realized. The hole class was staring at her. She could not bare the embarrassment. Luckily, a test has to be taken that day. She apologized to the teacher for creating such chaos and went to her seat. She took out the her pencil and every body was quiet. The only sound that could be heard was the breath of the students.
After the test, nobody said a word. It was so difficult that they were shocked. They did not even talk to Loona, the smartest kid in the school, for answers. Then, she noticed, silence had saved her and was a great mental healer for Loona.

The grass smells red. I smell the passion. I smell the softness. I smell autumn. The smell of autumn is something that man cannot express with words. Soft and calm, yet strong and enthusiastic. However, when one approaches, It is a large bunch of flowers, so mammoth that the scent is irresistible. Now, I am in a field for soccer. The grass is red. Just like my passion, my heart beat, and my eagerness to win.

Chris walks into a room. The girls frown. They whisper to each other, "Hey, why is HE here?" "I can't believe he's late again." They make faces as they were worried what kind of trouble he would cause today. On the other hand, the boys cheered. They giggled like a gang of hyenas as he took each step and greeted him to the V.I.P seat at the back where the teacher cannot notice him. The teacher sighed. She recalled the time she called his mother. She adored him so much. She believed as if she was raising a baby angel. Talking to her was no use. She refused to listen to what her son's educator said. The next day, she realized the floor of the class room was full of rats. She realized right away. It was the crime of Chris. Now, she gave up. As long as she did not yell her head off for him to behave, he would just stay still in his seat and chew gum. The teacher tried to ignore Chris and started off with the rest of the class.

I was one of those floors, well, I was larger than other ones, but I was not cracked a bit. The ash covered my whole body that I was so well preserved. Although it was a bit stuffy to stay underneath those powder and rocks for 1930 years, some guy discovered me below the suffocating sand. Now I feel like I stretched after crouching still in the same place for billion decades. How great it feels to be stepped on again. Although people with hilariously colorful costumes stroll on top of me. I do miss the people of Pompeii, though some were stuck to my body as fossils. Now, I will once again be crowded by people who wish to look at ur memories and how we lived and I too will once again recall my good times.
Journal #29 -Some say you can tell a lot about a person by the vehicle he or she drives. Picture a car .(Or is it a truck? Or an SUV?)
-In your mind, rummage through this car. Check it out from every angle.
-Describe the car and the man or woman who goes with it.
The black Model T ford is passing by. The car is shiny without a speck of dust on it. The elegant curves show that its owner must be a soft, but sharp person. The seats have deep and comfortable cushions as if when one falls into it, one is swallowed by the seats. The black matches very much with the cold, yet soft heart of the person. Not a tiny speck of dust is found in the interior of the vehicle and not a stain can be discovered in the outside. Spotless is the best word to fit it. It is driven every single day, but never was it damaged or ruined. It looks almost as new as it first came out fifty years ago. The driver gently opened the door and he was exactly what I expected him to look like. Old, but neat and a very fine gentleman, he was. From this, I learned that you can learn a lot about a person by the vehicle he or she rives. Journal #30 Free Write
Clown are pitiful beings. They must smile and laugh all the time to entertain others. Even if they lose something precious or get stressed from the pressure to make the audience happy. They cannot show their grieves nor their sorrows in front of anyone but hide it under the thick makeup of wide smiles. Many people in this world are clowns. Especially people who are active and always bright. They know that people would feel bad and strange when they suddenly become depressed. So, they cannot release troubles like others do. They laugh it off when others are present and struggle alone. Nobody takes these people seriously. They are praised by others and commented that they have so many friends, but in real life, they do not have a true friend to seriously talk about their worries. Frankly, I am one of those clowns. I am now troubled by my grades getting lower and I am not being able to concentrate on something. I now, should find away to get away from the clown and become me. The true me that can express my feelings when I need to.

The musical is going to be great. All the crew are picking up the dances and the songs very fast. I have experienced manny troubles to be a member of the musical crew, but I think they were worth it. Currently, we are working on the finale and the introduction. I am a little disappointed that I do not have a lot of lines or actions. Still, I will have a solo part in the performance. My character is Asaka, the goddess of Earth. I am supposed to be a brass, earthy character. Wide, confident and free is how I should act. All people love me for my generosity and my love for the little people. I protect Timoune, the main character to achieve her love. The song I will sing alone is called 'Mama Will Provide'. It is one of the main songs of the broadway musical and I have a great pride that I am the one who will be singing it. However, as much as it is an important song, I have abundant pressure. Although I know that the school musical 'Once on This Island Jr." will be a success, we should all practice hard and cooperate.

November is a month of birthdays. There are so many people with birthdays this month and my wallet is getting skinnier and skinnier. October 31 was Sarah and Christina's birthday. I was occupied with my science quiz that I could not prepare any presents. Thus, the following I had to go purchase presents for them. Not only those people, but also Rosaria;s birthday was November 3rd. Jane's is on the 11th and Sol was born on the same day. Alissa's birthday is tomorrow and a few days ago was Mr. Sickles's(one of my favorite teachers) fortieth birthday. I had so many people to congratulate and buy presents for. However, I enjoy others being happy on their birthdays because it is sad to have nobody celebrating the most special day of their calenders. Therefore, I wish everybody a happy birthday and I would be expecting what would happen on my birthday.
Journal #33 Reflect on the process of writing a short story. What did you learn from the process? If you had the assignment again how would you approach it?
To start with, I had a rather short period to prepare for the story. I had to squeeze the conclusion in only a few sentences. This made my story not follow the structure and format of a good story. I also received a few comments that my resolution was not clear. The resolution of the story was that the four children returned back to their own world as the emperor said during the middle of the story. I tried to emphasize their real world was at KIS and everything was a dream. The whole purpose of the story was that one should not make people struggle just because they are different from themselves. I could clear that out and I would like to invest more time and effort on it if I had the opportunity to do it again.

One rainy day, I sat down on the couch and stared at the window. Then I suddenly recalled a person that left the world his name as a legend. I wondered. "What kind o person was he? How great was he that the whole world cried tears of sorrow for his death?" I got up and scurried to my computer. I picked it up and typed "MICHAEL JACKSON" and pressed 'search' on Google. After reading his Wikipedia page and watching a few videos of him. I really thought that Earth lost a great artist. His first debut as the vocal of Jackson 5 made me imagine how cute he must have been. Then, as his brother's grew older. They started to give Michael bad influence. Because of this, Michael was always stressed out. After he grew up, during a concert rehearsal, his hair caught on fire. Because of that, he had to get major plastic surgery. He got addicted since then. As his appearance changed and more people gave him so much attention, he became to lose his mind. As he caused trouble, he got more attention and it became a recurrence. It was not his fault that he was doing something wrong. It was people's negative opinions that made him like that. Although his difficult life, music was his only happiness. By concentrating on his music while hard times, he was able to become a better artist.

Great-grandpa Rotondo doesn’t understand what a video game is. Or an ipod. Or text messaging.
Pick one of the above and explain what it is in terms that even the most un-technological person can understand.
To start with, an ipod is basically a device you listen to music. You download songs from a computer. A computer is a fairly large machine that does most of what your brain does and sometimes more. It can calculate problems for you and provide you information about almost everything. You can use it to listen to the latest songs. If you wish to keep them, you can use programs such as 4shared.com or limewire. If you type in the name of the song, artist, or album, there would be various choices. You can pick the one that seems clear and appropriate. Then click on the button that says ‘DOWNLOAD’ on the screen. A bar will appear while ‘downloading’. When the bar is fully colored, it will disappear. After that you move the song from your downloads folder to your itunes. There, you can change the title of your song or the settings of your ipod more specifically. If you connect your ipod to your computer, the songs move to your ipod. You can carry it around and listen to your favorite songs. In addition, you can add photos, movies, and videos.

The pyramid is truly the most marvelous place in the universe. No doubt it was chosen as one of the seven wonders of the world. After my visit to Egypt, the clear image of Khufu’s Great Pyramid does not seem to disappear from my mind. Since I was very little, I grew up seeing mummies and Ancient Egyptian charms from the British Museum. I always had a fantasy about how wonderful it will be to see the pyramids for real life. Once I stood in front of it. I just could not close my mouth. The grandness. The detail. The mysteries. The awe made me humble. I took a picture of it in my mind and kept it well inside a drawer of my heart. I never know when I will be able to go back to Egypt, but I am sure this memory will las until the moment I return to the arms of the sun god, Ra.

I do not wish for them to live until 200 or 300 because with nothing to do in old age, living that long is pain. My las wish will be a wish all students will ask for. Being able to ace all subjects. The joy in a student’s life are good grades and I am one of the people who wish to succeed in the world by studying. Good grades and the ability to do well on my studies will help me in the future.

What’s your idea of the perfect vacation?
Personally, I do not enjoy vacations that you lie down on the sand and sun tan. I feel that I can do that in my backyard and I do not feel the necessity of paying a lot of money to sleep in the sun. I prefer a vacation you learn much from. Rest and comfort can be done in the evening after all schedules are complete. I believe the ideal vacation is one that you experience the culture of the country as much as you can. All countries have different humanities, food, religion, and history. About a week ago, I visited Turkey, Greece, and Egypt. There, I felt like I was on a time machine. As I watched palaces, temples, and pyramids, I imagined how must have looked like during the Byzantine Empire, Ancient Greece, and Egypt. Turkey food was amazing, too as it is called as one of the best three food in the world. The best part of it was that I could feel what I read from books myself.

It shows that we should not ride cars, but use the public transportation often. Not only that but also various subjects like ‘What not to eat’ can be used to explain that instant food are harmful to our green planet. Other than that, there can be shows like “What Not to See”. For the last two days you were not in school because of the weather-"snow days." As advanced we have become in the 21st century, we still can not control the weather. Do you think this is an advantage or a disadvantage?
I believe being able to control the weather may be both an advantage or a disadvantage. However, in my opinion, being a disadvantage is greater. Global warming is getting serious every second and the climate is changing constantly. Siberia is getting colder and Africa has a major drought. Storms take away many lives and floods drown people and property. This loss is growing larger and larger every year. If we are able to control the weather, we could prevent missing families and homes. Maybe in the close future, we may be able to control weather and decrease the damage of disasters caused by weather.

Dear little Ara,
Greetings! It may be hard to believe, but I am you. I am currently 13 and I am a seventh grader, All this may seem a little complicates to you, but I am writing this letter to warn you about what will happen in the future. So, make sure you're alone when your reading this.:-) You will not go to Singapore as you expected it to be and you will not become any mature than you are right now. Personally, I believe the only difference is that you do not speak Korean as much as you did before. So, lock the doors and listen carefully.
We will attend to Korea International School. It is a tough place than it looks like. I feel stressed out everyday from homework, tests, quizzes, and projects. So, I think you should prepare for it. I recall you are currently going to an English Hakwon called "Hermit crab". When you learn science there, pay attention. for the last two years, I think I was not that paying attention to my studies after I realized that I could get good grades even without studying hard. But, you must remember that just for the happiness now, you might lose your comfort ten times relaxing than that moment. Also, I think you must share and try to understand more. A year later, in 6th Grade, you might get left out by your friends for being to selfish. By thinking in others shoes first and then thinking what will happen to you, you will have great relationships in the future.
Enough with this nonsense and just do what you are supposed to do. I am regretting that I should have done my work when I had plenty of time to and watch television or play games after all is complete. I hope this letter will help you live a better life and make me a better self.

Riding a camel was one the most interesting experience on my trip to Egypt. There is a area called the Panorama Region. It is a place were tourists can take good pictures of the Great Pyramids. Michael Jackson was its name. It sluggishly bent its knees. My mother and I hopped onto its back and hoisted ourselves up. With a loud honk, Michael wobbled and trembled off the ground and galloped with an unstable trait, My mother was terrifired that she kept screaming, making Michael feel unstable. The camel moved its body left and right as he trudged through the steaming desert. While there was a commotion going on with my mother and the camel, I took a glimpse at the pyramid and froze. I felt like I was part of a picture. The Great Pyramids towering me and the arid breeze caressing my face, I was touched I was in such a place. Amazed, I know I will never be able to forget that place.

At the bus, I started to feel gradual pain of tiredness. As soon I returned to my advisory, I started dozing off. After 45 minutes of sweet slumber, I woke up. I was time to go to musical rehearsal. Refreshed from my happy experience, I hopped off and skipped along to the mini auditorium.
SNOW WHITE-POINT OF VIEW OF DOC(ONE OF THE SEVEN DWARFS)
It all started like any old day. My fellow six dwarfs and I were at the diamond mine. As usual, Grumpy was grumbling that he did not want to work and Dopey was fooling around again. Beside those two, most of us were working diligently. (You might want to exclude Sleepy as he was dozing the whole time.) At last the clock pointed to five and it was time for us to return home. We sung the whole way. We were pretty satisfied with the results we made. Marching home, we expected to just heat up the leftovers from yesterday dinner and go to bed.
At last we came near our cottage. It is small but cozy and has everything necessary. We could see our home. All our men were quite astounded and afraid th..tha..that smoke was coming from th..th..the chimeny...I mean chimney and the l..rights..I mean lights were lit. I still t..tremble wh..when I recall the times of surprise when we saw it. A g..ghost maybe... or a mon..nomster I mean monster. We decided to send Dopey to the cottage as he is the most negligible. Why..I came out to be a girl. A young albeit fairly large girl was sleeping in our beds. Although her visit was very unexpected, but it was obvious that she was nice. She taught us to wash, cooked us some amazing soup and her voice, wh..why her beautiful voice-it touched our hearts.
That night, we had a party. We danced and played. It was the first time I played my guitar with such pa...passion. After our dancing and music, the girl told us about her story. She was a princess, Snow White was her name. She was about to be killed by the queen because of her outstanding beauty. We were sure that the queen might figure out where she was and tried to kill her. We had to protect this poor lovely child. For now, we let her sleep upstairs where all are beds are. Although I had to sleep in the sink in the kitchen, I had sweet dreams thinking of the beautiful princess and all the happy memories that would be created in the future.
The next day, as the warm spring rays of the sun soared through the window, we got up from our uncomfortable sleeping sites. We washed(as the princess forced us to) and headed to our diamond mine. Before we left I warned Snow White to beware of strangers and never open the doors to anyone. Nobody knew when the wicked queen would strike. As we marched out of the cottage Snow White gave us a ss...ss...ssik, i mean a kiss on our hairless heads. How bashful, yet happy we were. With a triumphant joy, my men and I skipped merrily to the cottage. Recalling Snow White’s beautiful smile, we were able to make a better outcome.
While singing and returning back home, an army of wild animals attacked us. They hauled and grabbed us. Stunned, we held on to a tree or anything that could keep us safe from the wild crowd of deer, squirrels, and birds. Then one of the six men claimed something must have gone wrong to Snow White! Realizing that was the problem, we scurried home to find the princess dead. The queen had poisoned her with a venomous apple.
We could not control our fury. We chased the old hag. She was not admirable after all. Actually, she was far from beautiful. Maybe it was a disguise. Whatever it was, she was definitely going to pay for what she did. We ran and climbed up a ciff, i mean a cliff. It was raining. It was slippery and dark, but the anger to the mean lady was great enough to overcome that. Then, she was blocked. With one more step back, she would fall off. We cornered her. We went closer and closer. Then, she picked up a large piece of wood to roll down a boulder to us. On the contrary, the cliff could not bear the pressure that it cracked. All of us froze. Then, it fell, along with the stick, the boulder, and the ugly queen. Down, down, down she fell. She was dead.
When we returned back to our small cottage in grief, the princess was no longer breathing. We could not do anything about it. Although we did take revenge for her by killing the queen, we could not bring her back to life. We gently lifted her and placed her in a glass coffin so all could see her beauty even though she had passed away. Bashful, Sleepy, Happy, Dopey, Sneezy, and I gave a silent prayer to the innocent child. Even grumpy cried tears of sorrow. At that moment, a charming young man came on a marvelous white horse. He noticed our princess and stopped as if she was familiar to him. He knelt down astonished by her charm and grief of her death. He then arose and gave her a kiss. Amazingly, Snow White arose from the coffin. She yawned like a pretty little lady and stretched her arms. Wh,wh,why the joy of that moment could not be explained with words. We danced and twirled with the animals and the flowers. The prince held Snow White to his horse. She would be going to his palace and live happily ever after. We will miss her, yes, but she would remain as a precious memory. All seven dwarfs including I wished her a merry life and admired the beautiful girl leaving to a castle of eternal love and pleasure.

Describe a storm.

Write a paragraph about a cat attacking something, but don't use the words hiss, scratch, or pounce.

Fatima is a very spoiled teenage girl.

Describe what you feel right now using your sense of smell.

List 10 things you usually do on a rainy day. Pick one from your list and freewrite for 5 minutes.

Teenagers enjoy talking behind others' backs although if a teachers catches them they might be in danger.

The sun is so warm and bright in our backyard. I decided to take a rest today, so I finished all my work yesterday. My dog, Toby was barking and growling with excitement for me to play fetch with him. I savaged for my favorite beach dress and lay down on the bench at the right corner of my yard. It was squeaking , but sipping cold cherry-ade in the sun mad me feel like I was on a holiday. However, during my perfect rest, a intruder who distracted my rest. It was the Toby the gasping monster of annoyance. He sprang up onto me so suddenly that I did not even have the time to screech . The glass of sweet red liquid fell from my hands and went down down down until I head clank ! I dropped it on the stone ways of the yard, not on the grass. The pieces scattered all over. I first took Toby away for he did not have any shoes. Then I tip-toed through to gather all the pieces. Luckily, my mom never noticed. Once I got rid of the pieces, I would be safe.

She could not bare the embarrassment. Luckily, a test has to be taken that day. She apologized to the teacher for creating such chaos and went to her seat. She took out the her pencil and every body was quiet. The only sound that could be heard was the breath of the students.

Especially people who are active and always bright. They know that people would feel bad and strange when they suddenly become depressed. So, they cannot release troubles like others do. They laugh it off when others are present and struggle alone. Nobody takes these people seriously.

What would you do with three wishes?
The first wish would to have everything a human needs. I do not mean physical items like money or food, but wisdom, knowledge, and happiness. With this, I could optain money and a house and live without any trouble. My second wish is health. Not only I, but also my family must stay healthy for their whole life.

As I watch the news. I am scared. I hope it is not true. Global warming is pouring mounds of snow all over Asia. Wars are occurring near the Arabian peninsula. Melting hot on the equator. Some people really believe it will come. I tremble with fear as I let the day loom. 2012 December 21st, the judgment day.

As this is being written, a show called “What not to Wear” is popular on the cable channel TLC. Imagine more possible shows on a “what not to do” theme. Describe at least one idea. (Don’t forget to give the show a name.)
The show that I wish to create is “What Not To Ride”. The show will have a host who shows how serious Global Warming is and what makes it worse. “What Not to Ride” is just a symbolic title. It shows that we should not ride cars, but use the public transportation often. Not only that but also various subjects like ‘What not to eat’ can be used to explain that instant food are harmful to our green planet. Other than that, there can be shows like “What Not to See”. This one is a sarcastic title. It introduces attractions all around the world. It will show sites that are not much known to a lot of people, but where they will regret if not visited.

Write a letter to yourself as a a ten-year-old child.
South Korea, Gyeung-gi-do Seong-nam-si Bundang-gu, Arum village Hyosung APT. 703-1504

I could not sleep the whole day. twenty four hours with no sleep and twelve hours of no food and no water. Others might call this torture, I call it projects. I had a science test the next day, but two projects were due on the same day. I had to keep awake. I had to finish it. It was my responsibility. Recording the presentation was difficult to do at 4 o' clock AM. Also, drawing the bodies of my character was bothering. without a tablet. Normally, people would be tired and doze, but the fear of getting bad grades for my finals were dreadful. I completed my projects at six in the morning and I hurriedly studied for my science test. I believe I did well on all three, but that was a day of nightmare.

Write about a memory related to a holiday

Madison is so happy. Show that Madison is happy, but don't use the word happy.
Madison started jumping up and down like a ping pong ball. She sprang out of the house as fast as a lightning bolt. She ran in zig-zags, she kissed people on the street. She looked like a crazy lady from the mental hospital. She thought. Finally, Harvard University! Everybody sneered at her for not studying. They were wrong. They never knew that a back-dancer could go to Harvard, did they? With joy that nobody will look at her like an ignorant knowing nothing, but dance. She could prove that people can both work and joy if they try.

Write from the point of view of a TV remote control.
Ah~ Another fantastic morning. I lazily stretch my arms and twist my body. I make sure if all my buttons are working properly. Oh Dear! I just recalled the fat old man had spilled his cheesy nachos all over me. Now, I did not feel as refreshing as before. I was twiddling around until all the humans had gone out to work. Friday afternoon, a lovely time for a teenager to what " American Idol". When nobody was there, she picked me up, placed me on her lap and started to giggle to the funny people. Without any parents, without any people inside, it was perfectly her world. Only the two of us knew her secret. After the show was over, the mother came in. She seemed to be bewitched by some sort of magical spell of medical drama. She picked me up eyes glazing at the screen. I do think that my job is ok, as I do watch and rest and do nothing biut let others press me, but I think it is too stifling.

Erica Jong said, “If you don’t risk anything, you risk more. Write about what this means to you.
It means that people have a chance. They have to try things out. This is more worth it than not even taking a chance. I agree with Eric jong and I also think that things are better regretting after trying than regretting that I should have tried it. This statement is similar to my motto. My motto is "Try it out". Whatever I do, I have the courage to expperience new things and try to get ued to it, quick. I think that is the proper way to live and an easy tip to survive in the harsh society.

I feel like my head is going to drop off of y head. My legs are getting numb and my fingers lost their muscles. I have been skating. It was an award trip for successfully completing our finals. Of course I had fun. It The cold ice felt like a large cloud in the middle of heaven. Singing, dancing, and skating for 5 hours was quite a job.
