Q: Describe Ulysses-what does he look like and act like? Try to be specific.
A: He was broadly-built, a very brawny muscled man, and it is said that he was extremely smart, and crafty. It was his idea to make the Trojan Horse. Not only he was very smart, it is mentioned that he had an extraordinary strength which he showed when he was fighting the suitors that were trying to become kings of Ithaca. He was favored by many Gods and typically Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom was always standing by his side.
Q: Why did Ulysses' men betray him and open the bag of winds from Aeolus? What happened to those men?
A: The men of Ulysses thought it was a bag of gold that Aeolous gave Ulysses. Therefore Ulysses' men opened the bag and they opened the bag. As soon as the bag was open which was full of wind, it blew away from their homeland, Ithaca. The men were punished.

Q: What would it be like to live on Cannibal Beach? What problems would it create to have a quicker cycle of day and night. How do you think this kept Ulysses from discovering what the trees were? Post to the wiki/journal/response to literature.
A: One thing for sure of this is that I will not want to live on the Cannibal Beach. Everyday and night you would have to dodge those hideous monsters and hide from them. It would be frightening for sure... Since the nightfall came faster then it should have been, the sailors and the men were unable notice that the "tree" they were climbing was actually the cannibal's giant hairy legs. Night time made them even harder to see through and actually identify the giant because it was too dark for Ulysses to see. Also the quicker cycle of day and night made affected the animals and plants, especially the plant won't get enough sunlight. The cycle of the animals might be messed up, and there won't be much food to eat.

Q: In Chap. 9,The Wandering Rocks, Ulysses has to decide what to do for himself. All of the advice that he has been given turns out to be useless. What does he decide to do? Have you ever been in a situation that required you to make an important decision on you own? How did you decide what to do?
A: After hearing all the useless he makes up his mind to sail out just by the strength of his own. He hoped that the advices will be quite helpful which it did not. I had lots of times when I had these kind of situations. For example. when I sometimes become lazy I ask my classmates or friends if they could help me with the homework. Of course, I know that they will not even think about it I just ask it, hoping a miracle to happen. When I ask, I always get these useless counsels such as read the book, I don't know, and so on... I always knew just doing the homework myself is the best way, and I always end up doing my homework staying up really late. The better decisions would be to just start the homework early in the first place.
